A Proposal to Remember

Despite having a major setback when our flight from Seattle to Victoria was cancelled, a private shuttle from the hotel to the Butchart Gardens, a bottle of sparkling white wine, an incredibly comfortable couple of rooms, a wonderful breakfast in the dining room made proposing to my girlfriend the best memory I could give her. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Butchart Gardens.

Nice Hotel, Great Views

The room was lovely and the restaurant was excellent. There was a noise problem with the construction of condos next door, but they seem close to completion.

Gem of a property

Visited the Brentwood Bay in late July 2010 for 3 nights. Excellent experience from the friendly and attentive front desk staff to our departure. Experienced full range of services from restaurant, to room service, to the spa, to ecotours. Even met the owner! All extremely positive! Highly recommend the property! Note, it is tucked away in a residential neighborhood and next to a ferry landing, which is a little visually confusing initially, but quickly blends into the experience.

A lovely, relaxing escape with easy access to Victoria

The hotel is beautiful - small and intimate. It’s a great spot to escape the city and has easy access to Buchart Gardens, Victoria and the surrounding areas. We biked to Butchart Gardens and it was an easy ride. The neighborhood is quiet and there are many outlets to the water. Very nice amenities in the room like candles, linen spray, etc. We were sorry to see our trip end.

Fabulous Weekend and what a view!

A terrific view of Brentwood Bay from the 3rd floor rooms. Great rooms with amazing king size beds. The food in the restaurant and the pub was outstanding. Next time we’ll try the spa too.

Can’t wait to go back to the Brentwood Bay!!!

We had an amazing honeymoon at the Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa. The staff knew it was our honeymoon, and selected a room with an amazing view! There was even a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived! My wife and I made reservations at the spa, and it was the BEST massage I have ever had... really fantastic! We as well had an amazing lunch in the pub, and a fantastic 5 course wine paired dinner in the restaurant! The wine from the Muse Winery was great! We can’t wait to go back! The staff was amazing and the room was fantastic! 5 Stars!!!

Glad we stumbled on this gem!

What an awesome hotel. Staff was friendly and polite. Food at either the pub or restaurant was excellent and well priced. Spa and heated pool provided plenty of opportunities to relax.

Great place, very quiet

The food and service in the dinning room was very good, and worth the expense. The room was very nice, relaxing, and comfortable. Mini bar prices were reasonable. There was a basket of treats in the room, but they all contained nuts, and I have a severe allergies - they were great about having it remove and ensuring we were not charged. For an adult orientated hotel I thought the pool/hot tub would be open later than 9. The hotel is in a residential zone so the bar closes early also. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, it is a great place to go.

Lovely place on Brentwood Bay

Very nice and comfortable with lovely view of Brentwood Bay. We had very good meals at both the restaurant and pub at the lodge, and enjoyed eating outdoors every morning and evening.

A trip to nearby Butchart Gardens is highly recommended. Also, several regional parks close by offer hiking/walking trails.

Lovely Stay in Brentwood Bay

We enjoyed our stay at Brentwood Bay Lodge.

Would like to spend part of my honeymoom there in the future.....

I came to the lodge for a wedding. It was my first time in Canada. The staff was excellent as well as the accomodations. They even helped me print out my boarding pass as I was having problems signing in. The views are beautiful and the food in the restaurants was delicious.

All that I had expected

Great location. We were on the top (3rd) floor and had a great view of the of the bay. Spent time on the balcony enjoying both the warm weather and the view. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool area was most enjoyable. The restuarant had a diverse menu and the food was very good. My wife said the spa was great. We would certainly return to this hotel/spa in the future.

Nice little hotel

We stayed here for my birthday weekend. The rooms were well maintained, the staff was excellent and the hotel was very quiet. I spent one morning at the spa and thought the services and staff were also excellent. It is a bit of a drive to Victoria but we found it a nice mix to shopping and "bustle" of downtown then coming back to a very quiet room with a lovely fireplace, view of the water and a bottle of wine.

Absolute Luxury

As we checked in, we were offered homemade delicious apple cider! We were then escorted to our room and once inside we were greeted by a welcoming letter specific to us and two yummy gourmet oatmeal cookies. The room was beautiful, the view spectacular! The bathroom included in-floor heating, a separate room for the toilet where it had its own telephone. Also next to the enormous jetted tub, luxurious bath salts, candles and waterproof matches. Room service was quick and the food was gourmet. It was a fantasy stay, a wonderful way to experience the charm of the Victoria area.

Great one night getaway

Great Hotel with well done westcoast design. The staffs are friendly and the room is beautiful. A must stay if you want to visit Brentwood Bay.

Perfect Small Hotel

Found the hotel on expedia.com - perfect property with nice views of the bay, easy commute to the ferry docks and a reasonable drive into town. The rooms are immaculate, clean and modern and the service impeccable. Highly recommended.

Wonderful honeymoon

We totally enjoyed the 4 short days we had there! The staff was unbelievable in fact they even printed out our boarding passes for the flight home. Ritzy but not over the top. Perfect place to stay and play. The outdoor pool was breathtaking.

Wonderful Honeymoon!

My new husband and I really enjoyed the location and service of Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa. It is far enough away from downtown Victoria that is is a total escape from city hustle and bustle, but an easy drive into the city for meals and activities. It is located right on the water with breathtaking views and opportunities to enjoy water activities. The two types of restaurants in the hotel made it easy to find an enjoyable meal for those times when you just don’t feel like leaving the site. It was a great place to unwind and relax after a very busy wedding week. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I am hoping to go back to celebrate my one year anniversary!

Butchart Gardens is only a mile away and beautiful! I would highly recommend the summer Saturday night including the firework show. It is spectacular!

Relaxing and lovely.

The view was lovely. We like the restful location that was also twenty minutes from Victoria. The Brentwood Bay Village is delightful. The food was delicious and the people were friendly. We wish we had planned to stay longer.

Great place to put your worries on hold............

Great place to stay for a relaxing weekend near Victoria.

We recently stayed at BBL for a quick weekend getaway and thought it was a great place to relax. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend staying there if you want to spend a lot of time in Victoria, but if you want to spend a day at Butchart Gardens and a day lounging or golfing outside of the City, then this is a great spot. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and the food served in the hotel restaurant is good.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was wonderful. The Sea Grill was a bit overpriced,the food was horrible. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The Butchart Gardens is just beautiful. The hotel has a wonderful little boat trip to it.. Worth the money

Romantic spot

This hotel was wonderful! The rooms were spacious, well decorated and clean. The food at the restaurant was amazing and the hotel staff were very helpful in answering questions that we had. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a romantic getaway!

There is a quiet and romantic restaurant just a little down the road called the Piccolo restaurant. Both of our meals were AMAZING and the price was reasonable as well

A very nice place to stay

Not a Relaix en Chateaux, but could be. Very nice rooms, very nice restaurant. Pretty setting. Just minutes from Butchart Gardens, and close to Victoria. Our only complaint is that we were put on the first floor, where people walking by (and even some at the pool) could easily see into our room, making it necessary to close the blinds much of the time -- blocking the nice view. But we would definitely go back.

The Lodge is located just steps from the Brentwood-Mill Bay ferry, which makes it a nice jumping off place to Central and Northern Vancouver Island.

Nice place to stay

Great location, not to far from anything. Very modern, with beautiful views. Comfortable rooms, nice bathroom. My only complaint is the lack of screens on the windows. Because of this we needed to keep the windows and patio shut to keep the mosquitoes out. Compounding this problem was the temperature control didn’t maintain the temperature all that great. Still a nice place to stay though.

Exceptional!

The lodge was beautiful with a big comfy bed. The view was beyond expectation. Loved the pub, the spa, even the owner introduced herself to me. I plan on returning as it is on my favorite’s list for places to stay. I loved being able to experience Victoria and Brentwood Bay.
