un bon compromis
hôtel moyen mais très bien situé en plein centre ville. Ce qui donne un accès aux transports et autres restaurants. Bien reçu et aidé par le personnel qui répond à toutes les questions. Par contre, il faisait très chaud dans notre chambre malgré la climatisation car la chambre était très exposée au soleil couchant!

nous sommes arrivés de nuit sous une pluie battante ,sur de tres mauvaises routes ,mais pas grave ile merveilleuse décors extraordinaire ,ambiance tres chaude ,18 jours de balades et de visites .hotel tres bien placé au cœur de la soufriere .quelques problèmes dans l hotel pas d eau pendant 2 jours bon tout est rentré dans l ordre.

Hôtel au centre ville près de la marina.
Nous avons passé 7 jours. Nous étions près de tous les centres d'intérêts et des sites pour faire du snorkel. Avec une voiture louée pour la semaine on a pu explorer le reste de l'Île Sainte-Lucie. La climatisation a lâché les 2 dernières nuits. On nous a laissé une autre chambre pour la nuit. La vue sur la marina et les Pitons étaient superbes. Mais le bruit de la vie locale était au rendez-vous. Avec des bouchons et l'air climatisé, on a réussit à bien dormir. Il y a un marché local sur les trottoirs. J'ai pu acheter des fleurs anturium pour 5$cad. J'ai eu pour 2 pots et elles sont restées belles toute la semaine. On pouvait acheter des fruits pour nos déjeuners. On avait un petit frigo et un four à micro-onde. L'hôtel est sécuritaire et les chambres sont au 3ième étage sans ascenceur. Un petit restaurant local pas cher au premier étage pas cher. Un autre restaurant-bar tout près et la nourriture était bonne. Pour tous les restaurants sur l'Île c'est très cher. En effet tout est dispendieux. La bière PITON est excellente mais pour un format 227ml, on paie entre 2,50$ et 12$ dépendant où nous sommes. Il y a une épicerie près de l'église pour l'eau liqueur boissons. Voilà j'espère que ces commentaires seront utiles. On aurait aimé savoir ça en arrivant. On a choisi cet hôtel pas cher pour se permettre de louer une voiture. On est content de notre choix.

Découverte de Soufrière à Sainte Lucie.
cet hôtel situé dans un quartier populaire convient bien à ceux qui veulent rencontrer les saints luciens et connaître la réalité sociale et économique. De plus il est situé à proximité des installations portuaires destinées au tourisme nautique. A défaut de les utiliser soi_même, on peut bénéficier d'un spectacle quotidien donné par les navires à voile (vieux gréements modernisés, clippers, etc.). Le tout pour un rapport qualité/prix imbattable et un accueil efficace et discret, ce qui n'enlève rien à sa sincérité.

Hôtel convenable, au coeur de Soufrière, village animé en soirée. Chambre très simple mais propre. Salle de bain et décoration très rustiques. Accueil agréable. Préférez la chambre bord de mer pour être au calme, les chambres donnant sur la rue sont à éviter à cause du bruit.

Tout d'abord, je voudrais répondre à votre première remarque à ce sujet "l'emplacement de la rue bruyante", on peut entendre quelques bruits, mais ce n'est pas le cas 24/7. Nous sommes renommés monde pour notre service à la clientèle exceptionnel ainsi que notre propreté de sorte qu'il est pourrions réessayer ce restaurant pour voir un tel commentaire. Cependant, je suis heureux que vous trouvez qu'il est accessible à soulager ainsi qu'avec l'ensemble de nos clients, ils nous félicitent souvent pour être au centre de tout. Les chambres sur la rue sont très spacieuses, bruyantes le jour, mais le bruit disparaît avec la tombée de la nuit. La vue sur la place et l'église est très belle. Situation idéale qui permet d'être témoin de la vie locale. Personnel très attentif à vos besoins, il faut lui demander d'intervenir pour l'air conditionné, le réfrigérateur ou le micro-onde qui fonctionne mal, mais tout finit par s'arranger. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur, il faut traîner ses bagages au 3è étage. Il n'y a pas de petit-déjeuner non plus. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

Excellent séjour mais attention certaines chambres peuvent être très bruyantes les nuits de week end (en particulier la 9), proximité d'une boite de nuit...Pas eu de problème pour changer de chambre, côté mer et retrouver la tranquillité. Situation bien pratique pour l'accès au club de plongée sur la plage de Soufrière, l'accès aux bus le long de l'église : toutes les destinations possibles pour quelques EC dollars, possibilité de faire le petit dèj et de monter des repas dans la chambre (excellent chinois dans l'immeuble au rez de chaussée)

Problèmes d'eau et de climatisation, pas de rideaux occultants, quartier bruyant. Attendez vous à être harcelés dès la sortie de l'hôtel. Ne vous attendez pas à plus que le tarif ne peut le suggérer.

hotel vétuste, très bruyant, aucune restauration, nous nous sommes retrouvé plusieurs jours sans eau, avec un climat d'insécurité pendant tout le séjour. nous avons réservé une suite royale et nous nous sommes aperçus qu'il n'y avait aucune différence avec les autres chambres

This hotel was awful. The reviews online are likely from people who live in the area. The hotel does not have parking and the village has almost no parking available. Once we found parking, we got mugged walking 1 block from the car to the hotel. The bathroom has no light, was dingy/unclean and even the hotel room had a broken AC and coffee spills on the floor that were not cleaned up. Do not stay at this place. Waste of money.

The Downtown Hotel is at a convenient location. The beach is a five minute walk. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner. Also, the hotel rooms only have Type G outlets.

Nice stay
The stay was lovely. The staff is wonderful and caring about their guests and they seem very happy to be apart of this coorporation. My stay felt like a home away from home. The hotel is attached to a shopping center which makes it very convenient to buy all your shopping needs. The hotel also have a lot of parking so it made it convenient for my guest to park. The room is spacious the balcony is beautiful and I stayed at the Mountain View and sea view which was equally as gorgeous. The room service for cleaning was great, they also provided cleaning service which I appreciate a lot since I stayed here for some time. There is a beautiful pharmacy, a couple of clothing shops, duty free like shop which is also nice for guests to use. The air conditioning system worked perfectly. The hotel rooms also provide a refrigerator and microwave which I used quite frequently so was happy about that. The beds are nice and comfortable. The closet is spacious and also the drawers in the room are beautiful. There is a heating pot I loved to use as well. I feel overall very pleased with this trip and I would like to recommend it for anyone that is looking for a fun relaxing holiday by themselves or their loved ones. I want to thank hotels.com for the recommendation and making the hotel visible so I could enjoy it. I really also loved the grocery stores and shopping around the hotel, the local people here in Soufriere are so kind and they make you feel very welcomed. Thank you very much.

Loved the staff the room and location. Felt very comfortable coming back and forth. Lovely location ocean view and view of the mountain is phenomenal. I will recommend this place to friends and family. I wanted to thank hotels.com for the recommendation. The shower pressure was very good the air conditioning worked perfect. The fridge and microwave really was convenient for the days and nights I wanted to stay in and relax and have a hearty meal. The balcony is one of the most beautiful features. The maid was very friendly and kind, she did a great job cleaning and you can tell she is happy to be apart of the staff. The front desk really helped with recommending restaurants. I love the fact that you walk out of your hotel room and everything is right in front of you, supermarket,clothing stores, souvenir shops are lovely. The mall in the hotel is beautiful and I really appreciate that there is a restaurant that is opened till late. The mall has everything you need a pharmacy included. This hotel reminds me of a home away from home and there is nothing I can say that needs to be changed or altered. You also get a good feeling and energy once you first walk into the hotel. You feel that everybody really cares for each other and I really am so lucky to have had this experience and will come back with my own family one day. I feel a feeling of motivation as well because everyone is relaxed while they are at work with smiles on their faces which gave me a very good feeling inside.

The hotel serves all the basic needs for a stay in central Soufriere. It is on the top floor, above a small shopping mall, which gives great views and helps with reducing the street noise. Centrally located, there is a supermarket, ATM and bars/restaurants very close by. All staff were helpful and welcoming, including the security downstairs. There is no lift if you have lots of luggage or mobility issues.

good value for money hotel
If you want an authentic experience of st Lucia stay at the Downtown Hotel. We got the holiday at a good price which made it affordable to stay in st Lucia. The hotel is at the top of the shopping centre In the small town of soufriere. The room we stayed in was overlooking the town and was spacious and clean. If you pay a bit more you can get a room with a sea view overlooking the harbour which is a quieter. The hotel is a budget hotel but the rooms have excellent air conditioning, hot water, cable tv,a fridge and microwave. For eating we went to The Dream Bar just down the road and Fedo's which is a longer walk both being excellent for local food at good prices. The Sulpher springs and Diamond falls are not far. There are two larger supermarkets, banks and local bakeries . There are plenty of people offering boat trips and other tours around the island. Like everywhere make sure you get the right price.

It is indeed 'the downtown hotel' of Soufriere!
Good enough room - we had 2 double beds and a brand new a/c unit to keep us nice and cool in a large room with ok bathroom facilities. Kettle, fridge and microwave. Large flat screen TV with plenty English channels! No hotel facilities to speak of, other than the helpful staff but it is in the middle of town. It's fine for a night or few, but not a bargain in my opinion.

Nice Balcony...Great view...
The hotel is on the fourth floor, so lots of stairs, our room was on the side of the piton/sea view so the view from the balcony was really amazing. The staff is very accommodating, they do listen to you and act accordingly as long as your requests are reasonable. There is a new sandwich place, a drug store, a grocery and lots of other very convenient shops right in the same building and many around the hotel like the new Tik Tak bar & souvenir shop, a small vegetable & fruits market where locals sell their products. The location of this hotel is perfect, I would say it is in the heart of St.Lucia because it is near all the main attractions of the island. So you wouldn't need to rent a car. No bedbugs or any other bugs, there were some very tiny little ants on the balcony, not many and they stayed on the balcony, never crossed the balcony door into the room. In the span of our two weeks stay, we had two or three days of very loud music in the evening and at night, because of a night club without walls or ceiling near by. but the music stopped around two a.m. at the latest. Among all the visits we did, the one to Morne Coubaril Estate was the most enjoyable thanks to the beautiful scenery and to our very kind, knowledgeable and competent Guide Mrs. Sendyann who was able to answer all our questions with great detail & precision. Over all , we really enjoyed our second trip to this one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Good choice at a great price.
Good choice in the heart of La Soufriere. The area can be a little noisy, especially on a Friday night, but it is to be expected for being at the center of things. The rooms are large and air-conditioned, which is a big plus.

Too much Going On
Well I booked this hotel for 1 Night Thank Goodness! Where Do I Start... First The lady At The Front Desk Was Nice Enough But She Talked Too Much I was Tired And just Wanted TO Rest, she Kept GOing On And On When She FInally Left THe room I Looked Around The Room and it wAs clean eNOugh But all Of The Appliances ANd Furniture HAd sEEn better days. I Acutally Booked a room With A King Sized BEd but SHe PUt us In with 2 Double Beds WHEn i asked about It She told ME That The KIng Rooms Ac Was NOIsy So I Settled For THE double ROom. The Beds Were REally Unstable And Very Noisy All Night i Was TWISting and turning Because Of the extremely NOISy road Practically right OUtside The Room FROM SPeeding VEHicles To community Residents SCREaming and cussing AT each other from late night to really early hours of the morning (4am) Also although THe Ac Unit Was New And Fairly Quiet The Light From the Temperature Digits On the Unit Was Sooo Bright IT was All I Could see When MY Eyes Were Closed. There was also no cable on The tv. when I was finally ready to check out i went to the shower to get ready and there was a roach in the shower. I must say I did not quite enjoy my stay. But the area is really beautiful.

Upon arrival we make it our duty to keep our guest well informed and we like to let them know where certain things can be found for example the bakery across the street etc, this is called etiquette. Its unfortunate that you had a problem with this. The bed problem could have been rectified by a simple call to reception.
