Nice place to relax
Lovely large room, with bath and enormous shower cubicle. Bed was big and comfy. Pool areas good. Takes some energy to put in a length! Straight out onto the beach. Great bar area to watch the sun go down and a 2 hr happy hour.

Disappointing. The hotel has spacious rooms and good grounds. The beach is public but a lot of hawkers trying to approach and every night loud music until past midnight.However the service is very disorganised - from not finding the reservation at check in, to it taking ages to get dinner/bill (2 courses over 3 hours). The worst was the check out: trying to charge for a room that has been paid upfront and then charges being put together with a calculator. You are only permitted to see an itemised bill AFTER having paid.

The hotel has a wonderful location right on a beautiful beach with reasonable access to the Colombo Airport. The facilities were dated but reasonable. It was pretty empty which did not add to the ambiance. They served a nice breakfast.

We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The room was lovely, huge bath, super comfy travel cot for our daughter, beach was beautiful and so big! Service was also fantastic, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Bit dated and be aware of noisy weekends
On arrival we didn’t get the usual friendly Sri Lanka welcome. The hotel is a bit dated but our room had been recently painted. Getting a drink around the pool is hard work as the outside bar is often unattended. There is little/no atmosphere in the hotel and it was v quiet in the evening (we ate elsewhere during our 2 night stay). We went next door to Goldi Sands for a drink which seemed to have more going for it, there was a wedding on and the music stopped promptly at 11am. On our second night (a Saturday) we were hoping for an early night before our morning flight the next day. However we were kept awake until after midnight by a very noisy wedding with fireworks. We think it was at the other Jetwing hotel which neighbours this one to the south. We called reception to complain but there was nothing they would do. The balcony doors and windows are old and single glazed, even with ear plugs we could still hear the music loudly, it was a very annoying end to a lovely holiday. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Great Hotel
I enjoyed my stay at Jetwing Beach Negumbo. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. The main swimming pool is a good size and the location right by the beach. Short walk to the main restaurant/bar area in Negumbo and of corse very convenient for the airport.

This was an overnight stay before early morning flight. The hotel insisted on payment with USD. After some hassel they agreed to accept Sri lankan rupees. We asked them to cancel breakfast but they couldn't and offered to to give packed breakfast instead. Attitude was not customer friendly. Overall, good to stay. Did not get chance to try out the restaurants etc...

Food was great. The issues were with the mosquitoes in the room. The air conditioner barely worked so it was hot. The butler gave us a fan to use. We should of gotten another better room. When we go to the beach there’s always someone asking for money. They need to get rid of the homeless people out of there and stop bothering tourists for money and following them around the beach. There’s a big language barrier for the staff members. They speak little English and it’s hard to explain to them what exactly you need. They need to be taught.

We liked the food and the friendly and helpful staff. They are very supportive and they do everything what they can . The main issue is the resort is not 5* resort, the rooms are outdated, need urgent make over. The bed / clothes everything is wet of the moist, the ressort should invest in dehumidifier and should be more active regarding mosquitoes.

Bra hotell men några utmaningar.
Ett bra hotell, dock finns det några utmaningar. Hotellrummen börjar bli lite slitna, dags för lite uppfräschning. Sen är det väldigt mycket kråkor runt poolen, många som störde sig på det. Vi har varit i Dubai, där har de falkar som är tränade att hålla dem borta från poolområdet. Kan vara ett tips till hotellet. Annars toppläge på stranden, bra mat på frukost och middag.

Dangerous and insensitive
I booked the hotel for my honeymoon a few days before massive terrorist attacks in the island. I asked the hotel to cancel, as there were constant rebelious retaliations in the following weeks, and my wife-to-be was (justifiably) very nervous and anxious about coming here for the honeymoon. They were completely intransigent and insensitive and didn’t allow us to cancel. We ended up losing all our days and changing our trip to Thailand, which turned out great, despite this massive expense in Sri Lanka...

Dear Miguel, do accept my most heartfelt apologies for the inconvenience caused and I regret that it was not handled by the associates in a professional manner. Due to the recent Terror attack, a decision was in fact made to be flexible on the cancellation policy. the hotel had written to you to reconfirm your booking and the airport pick up, however as a response was not received, the booking was considered to be active. Having read your review, we understand that it was a lengthy process to follow up with the cancellation and once again apologize to you. However you will be pleased to know that a full refund has been initiated. I have been informed by Expedia that it may take approximately 20 days. Whilst thanking you for your patience, I trust you and your wife had a fabulous honeymoon in Thailand. Congratulations to the two of you and wish you a life full of love and joy ahead. 朝方カラスの鳴き声で目覚めるほどであった。ホテル前のビーチもごみ等もありきれいとは言い難い。2階からはヤシの木に遮られ直接はビーチが見られない。施設自体は古さを感じるが部屋などは清潔に保たれているよう。朝食もおいしくいただきました。特にスタッフさんにお世話になることはなかったが、良い対応であったと思います。日本円で1万円ほどで宿泊したので十分かと思います。

Overall it was very comfortable and only thing is that there was hardly no one at the hotel due to the recent attack. The Sri Lankan hospitality was superb.
