Holiday Inn Express HITEC City - average property
I was in Hyderabad on work and mostly around Hitec City, so from a location point it is fine. The rooms are very small and the finish is substandard. The linen was not fresh when I checked in and had to get it changed. The bathroom doors were dirty and partially damaged. The basic quality of finish of the hotel is very poor. Food was average. For the price charged not worth it, but in an emergency one shall survive.

The rooms are extremely small and congested. The mini bar was in extremely dirty condition. The kettle was very dirty with biofilm growing. Please see the attached pictures. Even the coffee mug was not washed. Only one bathing towel with no towels for hands/face. Food was ok. Overall, it is a overpriced hotel with very poor hygiene.

The rooms are absolutely pathetic and very small. It’s not easy to stay in such a small room Cleanliness why is the room is not good you can always find bugs. The amenities are also not provided and you have to keep calling the reception or the service area. The water was not even present in the room. The public dining area has little to no air-conditioning. the tables are dirty, and there is nobody to assist you with the luggage overall a very bad experience better pay a little extra and go to a Patel Hotel

Unfortunately, there was a bug/insect on my bed as I checked in, and the pillow cover was very dirty as well. The same got changed/cleaned after i complained to the management, but didn't expect this from IHG.

The hotel room wasn’t clean, the wooden floor was all dirty and the room is so congested, there wasn’t much space to walk freely after placing a bag next to the bed. Btw the complimentary breakfast was the worst one I ever had in Hyderabad, the quality wasn’t great, it’s better for the hotel not to offer breakfast rather than offering such worst breakfast. To add to my disappointment I couldn’t offer a tea or coffee to my guest who visited because the kettle wasn’t working..

The worst food ever! Didn't expect it from Holiday
The approach to the hotel is painful especially in the evening, due to heavy traffic. The check in was fine and the rooms though tiny, are comfortable. The shocking part was the food. Since the buffet was kept 'dhaba' style in large 'not so clean' pots, and the food also did not look too appetising, I settled for Hot & Sour Soup and Buddha Bowl (rice with chinese greens was the promise). It took a really very long time to be served. My colleagues who came 10 minutes late for dinner ordered Indian food and it was served before mine. When the soup arrived, it turned out to be Maggi soup ready mixed in hot water. The manager confirmed it too. Just imagine instant ready mix soup served in Holiday Inn. The Buddha Bowl turned out to be rice bowl topped with oily spicy fried vegetables. That too with Indian spices. A better description would have been Dhaba style vegetables with tadka served with rice! It tasted terrible and gave me a sleepless night. Next morning the story repeated itself when I ordered Upma. Again they served Upma made from instant mix stirred with hot water. And confirmed it too. I am never staying at this place again.
