Don't reserve this property
Main door entrance clearly water damaged & coming loose from hinges. Living & bedroom furniture shabby-uncomfortable. The unit is dated in need of maintenance. In general totally uninviting. Ceiling fans filthy with dust & one hanging by a thread unusable. VRBO obviously doesn't vet owners for quality rentals - leaves it for reviews So... Kitchen under equipped with aged chipped dishes, rusty pots,filthy oven, no oven mitts, no dishcloths or adequate towels of any kind. Fridge door full of rust. Thankfully we had access to other family member rental to borrow their kettle. You guessed it Coffee maker/kettle YUK!

Dear Mary, thank you very much for your honest opinion! I just had the other guest tell me about similar issues. I am extremely upset and I sincerely regret that you had to go through this situation and that it has not been addressed by my property manager and cleaning lady. It doesn't help of course that I am not in Freeport to go right away and have everything fixed and changed, however I shall speak to my daughter who is planning to go end of April and she will help to take care of the issues. Again my sincerest apologies!

Coral Beach
Our expectations for the unit we selected were not what we had had in the past. The owner did address some of the things but not all were resolved. This unit is not set up for a long stay as many of the others are. The location is great and the beach beautiful. Lots interaction among guests and owners.

Dear Katherine, I was very happy to be your host! Thank you for your stay and your feedback! I apologize that some of the issues during your stay were not resolved. Your daughter was looking for a baby crib during her visit with you and unfortunately I could not obtain it for the dates she was staying :((( The balcony door locks are on back order, and we are waiting for them. We also provide cleaning supplies and a few basic pantry supplies enough for initial couple of days, the guests staying long term would need to purchase what they will need and want to use. My property manager Mario is happy to help out and take guests shopping or other errands and trips for a modest fee and our guests have been using his services multiple times and I always had a very positive feedback. There is also now a convenience store open at Coral Beach which is very handy! There may be some things which need to be addressing upon arrival or questions and requests, and please do not hesitate to contact me! Mario and Helen are very quick to respond and will be there same day or next day if anything needs to be purchased. Again thank you for being our guest and we do hope to see you back!

Adequate facilities
The kitchen wasn't as well appointed as it could have been. I brought my own sharp knives and was glad I did. There is no broiler pan, no sheet pan and the 2 left hand burners on the stove don't work. The beach was lovely. The location is good and the unit was nice. Plenty of towels. The laundry tokens cost $2 each, not $1.60 as told.

Great Location
Quick walk to a beautiful beach w/restaurant on the beach. The hotel staff, including security, were incredibly kind and helpful. The unit itself is quite basic with almost no amenities, not even a hair dryer, just enough toilet paper to last the evening, no coffee filters, no shampoo. So if you are aware that you need to provide everything for yourselves, it's a convenient location. When we arrived, however, we found that we had been given an incorrect code for the lock box so had to get the property manager to help us. Also, the t.v. wouldn't turn on. Seems likely the batteries in the remote were dead. The host, Svetlana, was very nice and very responsive. However, given the trouble getting in and the fact we couldn't use the t.v., it would have been good business practice to offer us some compensation.

We had a great time
First of all... The beach was stunning. And the luxury of being able to walk from our unit to the beach in bare feet was incredible. The pool was beautiful but a bit colder than the ocean... But who cares because we had the ocean? The new bar at Coral Beach had great stuff and great food and we had a chance to meet many of the different unit owners who were all very welcoming. The unit itself was a bit dated but extremely clean and had every single thing we could want. The price was reasonable. The owner, Svetlana was incredibly quick at responding to any questions that I had both before the trip and while we were there. I traveled with a friend but would feel completely safe traveling back to Freeport and especially Coral Beach as a single female traveler... Not one concern about safety.... What a wonderful place to visit and what wonderful people who live and work there. Also.... Make sure when you visit that you take the time to visit both the GaatroBar restaurant $$$ at the marketplace and Bernie's $ on Taino Beach. Delicious grilled lobster with sides for $25 and $5 Bahama Mama's At the owner's recommendation we rented our car from Brad's Car Rental. They were super professional and took wonderful care of us. I had zero expectations for this trip and was blown away. Thank you for a great vacation.

The owner was amazing, accommodating and very helpful. The unit is good for 4-5pax really, clean,tidy and the beds are very comfortable to sleep with. There’s a pool and beach area that you can access easily. Very great view for balcony to watch sunset, garden view and if you want to have breakfast outside. It would be very nice as well if they can add some light in the dining area during night time and to make sure to fix the stove. Overall, we love the condo and my parents are so happy that we’re able to celebrate my day together in the unit.

Incredibly disappointing
Past VRBO reviews misleading!! Entire unit was filthy from the floors to mirrors. Did not have: dish cloths, pot holders, face cloths, mixing bowls, cleaners. Place resembled frat house with limited mismatched kitchenware. Main stove burner didn’t work. Photos are old, place not maintained. Furniture old and wore out - not comfortable. No lamps in bdrms. Beds not made properly, had to make them. Most dangerous thing was 2nd bath threshold (9”x 7”)that needs to be stepped over. I fell in the dark (no lamps), someone could get seriously injured! Shocking - contacted owner of condition of unit, broom no handle, missing deck chair, no dish clothes, face cloths, no cleaning supplies, dishes/utensils dirty, etc. Owner responds cleaner bring us some as a courtesy!! Since when do you bring dish rags, pot holders, face cloths, cleaning supplies to VRBO? Isn’t that why we pay cleaning fee? She didn’t even offer to reimburse us for the cleaning fee! I would not recommend this place. Complex is located on one of the most beautiful beaches, do yourself a favor and find a nicer unit, you will thank me.

Paradise location
Absolutely great stay! Perfect location by the beach and pool. This property is the only one close by with a bar and small restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place was spacious with room for 6 people. lots of towels, beach chairs. Nice view from the room and patio. You can cook your own meal or get a taxi and go out. Perfect for families. Very nice and helpful host. For us it was just a paradise location.

What’s not to like!
Great place. If your looking for a relaxing laid back experience, this is it. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. We were two couples and the accommodations were very comfortable . The pool bar/ restaurant is top notch. The beach and views are incredible. We will absolutely do this again.

The owner was amazing, very responsive and helpful. When the a/c wasn’t working she got maintenance in the next day to take care of it. It was very clean and well taken care of. The unit itself is pretty small, and one bedroom has a great view, the other has no window, but a private bathroom. It was safe and comfortable, the complex has a beautiful pool and nice restaurant. It was a great stay!

The unit was dirty, it took us almost 4 hours to get it clean. (The host refunded us $125.00 for cleaning supplies) The fridge has numerous rust spots on the front and in generally very poor condition, the stove had several rusty spots, the oven was filthy, one burner did not work (replaced but still defective) and the micro-wave had rust. The coffee machines’ warming pad was solid rust. (since replaced by another machine that was faulty) The furniture was worn and dirty with two chairs having large stains on the seats; covered with a white sheet to hide the problem. The dining chairs are worn, we had to put pillow cases over the back of some so our clothes wouldn’t get caught in broken wicker. All of the windows were dirty including the patio doors. The patio screen door was broken and leaning against the wall, (later fixed by Mario) and one bedroom closet door is broken. Towels are worn and ragged, pillows were stained, there is no quality cooking utensils and several of the plates are chipped. The views from the balcony as shown are not from this unit. Vrbo was unresponsive until 2 days before our departure so we were forced to stay or forfeit our payment.

A member of our family also went to Freeport to bring new items from Canada to replace the older ones. It has been quite difficult to buy what is needed in Freeport! Dear Janice, thank you very much! Mario always takes excellent care of our guests, he goes above and beyond. If there is a need or request he is prompt to respond. He had helped other guests with doctor's visits when there was a need, shopping, fixing occasional issues with internet, fixing things in the condo when something breaks down or is missing, and anything else what the guests may need!

Cute Property but dirty unit
Overall, this location is really nice, it was great that it was beachfront, and also had a great pool and a brand new bar. Our particular unit was really gross. It was dirty with dust and hair and crumbs on the furniture when we arrived, and there were ants crawling everywhere. We had to store all of our food inside the refrigerator so the ants wouldn’t collect. So our stay was very uncomfortable since we were constantly worried about our food and where we could sit. The best spot was on the beach!

Dear Julie, thank you for your comments! I believe this was unfortunately a rare oversight by Helen, who has been cleaning the property for many years now. It could also be that she may not have enough time to clean thoroughly and treat for ants because there were many same day turnovers with guests checking out late and new guests arriving early. I am very sorry about this subpar experience! If there are any issues please do call me or write to me and any problem will be fixed right away! The property manager Mario is very prompt to respond and Helen can come again when needed! We just had a couple of days between the guests and we had the place treated for ants. Fun getaway at coral beach!
We really enjoyed our stay in the condo. It was very much as described in the listing. After spending three days there I believe it’s the best beach on grand Bahama. Very nice pool. We are already planning on coming back!

The day we arrived the air conditioning was off in the condo, it was at least 95° inside. There are 2 tv's but only 1 worked, the DVD player didn't work. There were light bulbs out. The sliding door to the balcony is very hard to open. The description said there was a bar/restaurant by the pool. The problem was that it has been closed since the hurricane 3 years ago. The pool was great and the beach was awesome. A lot of businesses have been closed since the hurricane in 2019. They are rebuilding but it takes a long time.

I was very pleased with the property/room at Coral Beach. The people were very friendly and polite; the room was perfect; and the pool and beach were awesome. The area around Coral Beach is also very nice. There is an outside bar/restaurant on the property but it was closed and not opening until August 1. We missed it by a week. I would definitely stay at this property again; and even consider staying there for longer than 1 week. Host(s) were very quick to respond and always in touch. The only thing for us americans was trying to adjust to driving on the opposite side of the road

We totally enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was very comfortable , clean and spacious. Modern appliances and fixtures which work properly.. Building staff were friendly and accommodating. My husband, myself and our 5 year old daughter had an amazing stay at Coral Reef Condos. Svetlanya was an amazing host and extremely quick to respond to any inquiries. The security and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The condo was very nice and had everything we needed. There is a partial ocean view from the living room balcony. There are several expansive balconies on all levels steps from the condo that are accessible to all. The view of the ocean, pool and coconut trees from the upper balconies is breathtaking! We watched the sunset from the balcony most evenings. The ocean is steps away once exiting the ground level of the complex. There are elevators though we mostly used the stairwell. The ocean water is calm, a stunningly gorgeous turquoise blue color with the softest white sand. There are several umbrellas with tables and coconut trees line the seemingly endless beach. The pool was wonderful as well; very large, clean, had a beautiful waterfall and right beside the ocean and well kept garden areas. We participated in the dolphin experience and it was amazing. We have been to Freeport many times, this was our daughter’s first trip. We absolutely loved the location and layout of this condo. It was so secluded yet so close to grocery stores and town when we wanted to venture out or grab a bite to eat. We will definitely be back again! Thanks so much for sharing your place with us! We had a wonderful vacation and cannot wait to return!

Perfect Beach Location
This was our 3rd trup to Freeport. It was our 2nd time at Coral Beach Condominiums. We love staying there. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food at the tiki bar is awesome. Port Lucaya is within walking distance. The beach is perfect. We will go back.

Great location. The property was as advertised. Nice layout.
Terrific property. All the people that worked there were professional and kind. The Sandpiper bar had great food and drinks. Trika, Terry, and Jerry were all very accommodating and pleasant. The security guards did a great job keeping the property safe. The sounds keepers kept the property looking great. The pool was always extremely clean. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Freeport.

A Wonderful Stay
We spent two weeks here and enjoyed every minute. The location is terrific, with a great beach, pool and pool-side restaurant. Just a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to Port Lucaya Marketplace and UNEXSO . The condo is well-stocked with bedding, towels, and beach chairs, and the kitchen is well equipped. The cleaner, Helen, is friendly and helpful and makes terrific banana bread! The staff at Coral Beach are all professional and friendly. Svetlana is helpful and available and easily to reach whenever needed. We will stay here again. Thank you, Svetlana, for giving us a great home-base for our stay in Freeport.

The place for Peace and Quiet.
Overlooking the tranquil beach and pool, this condo is the perfect place to get away from it all. We purposely chose the off season to spend 10 glorious days and were rewarded with that. This location on Coral Beach has everything that we were in need of -- friendly people, great food and drinks, warm waters in the ocean and the pool, a bright and airy apartment with all the right touches. Nearby was the Lucaya Marketplace with shopping and eating galore. We rented a car from Brad's Auto Rentals just so we could explore the rest of the beaches on Grand Bahama Island. We made it to Taiono Beach for the Power Boat Display and had a blast. Also we visited Fortune Bay Beach and fell in love with the sand bars and clear waters and not to forget the restaurant overlooking the bay and beach. A visit to this unit in Coral Beach will leave us with memories that will last a lifetime. We highly recommend Svetlana's Little Hideaway on the $th Floor.

Our trip was cut short and we had to leave after one night. Things were not quite ready when we arrived due to the cleaning service not getting to the condo before us. Then, our trip was cut short after only one night due to family reasons. Svetlana was there every step of the way. She immediately contacted the service and had the unit cleaned. She then refunded us our payment for the entire trip even though she had nothing to do with why we had to leave. She even called to check and see how we were doing. You couldn't possibly find a better person to rent from. I know we'll call her again when we go back to the Bahamas.

Wonderful stay- beautiful, clean condo
We spent a week here, and it was awesome. The condo is clean, well-kept, updated, and had plenty of space. The patio looks into the courtyard, which is very tropical and beautiful, with a view of the ocean. Be sure to head up to the many rooftop terraces to enjoy the stunning view of the beaches. Beach access is great- the sand is softer than sugar, more like flour. It's fantastic. The pool bar is great, and the pool is relaxing. The building is an easy 20 minute walk to Port Lucaya and a bunch of shops and restaurants. We didn't rent a car, and were just fine. The grocery store is a 40 minute walk, or you can easily get a taxi. Next time, we will probably rent a car, just so we can explore more of the island on our own. Don't forget, they drive on the left side! Overall, a fantastic trip. We'll be back.

Great relaxing place
We had a 10 night stay at this condo from 3/16 thru 3/26. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Helen who takes care of this condo. It was clean and had a fully stocked kitchen (Not Food), plenty of bath & beach towels, beach chairs etc. We had the most awesome view of the sunrise over the ocean, every morning from one bedroom and the balcony. The laundry was right next door on our floor. Helen was available the whole time, if we needed something. We felt very safe in the building as you have to have the key to enter and there is always security folks making sure all is good. The pool and the beach are private property and are beautiful and clean. The pool bar/restaurant has tasty food & drinks. We could take a 10-12 minute walk by beach or street into town to some excellent bars, restaurants, shops, activities & marina. The bus van is only $1.25 to or from the condo if you didn't want to walk. We also had a private cab driver for the 10 days that was awesome. We went to Solomon's grocery store the 1st day and bought what food we wanted. They have a great selection and we found everything we needed. Plan to bring/purchase paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels etc. All & all, I would definitely return to this condo next year. It is an older building but they have done a nice job of repairing after the hurricane of 2016, and you can't beat the price for what Svetlana charges for her condo....very reasonable. Thanks for a great vacation!

10 days in paradise (coral beach hotel resort and Freeport)
Arriving at the hotel we were very happy with the reception by security people and the front desk staff`.. during our stay they provided a wealth of information about the island. Our suite was a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom layout and provided very comfortable living quarters. The kitchen provided a great cooking area with an open dining room area connected to the living room. Anything required to cook and eat your meals within the condo is readily available... just get your groceries and cook away. Helen (the condo cleaner) surprised us with a traditional Bahamian meal which was delicious. Any minor concerns we had were addressed by the owner Svetlana immediately. Svetlana is great at communication and during the renting of the condo and the stay, she responded immediately to any questions or concerns we had. Port Lucaya is a 20 minute walking distance and has great restaurants (Giovanni's our fav) and other vendors. Solomons grocercy store is a 40 minute walk... take the bus back to the Condo. Thank you Sevetlana for the use of the condo :-) we had a great time

Our family stayed in this unit for 2 weeks and we were extremely happy with everything. The condo was clean and cozy. Helen the property manager was very kind and helpful. As others stated, the island is still recovering from a hurricane. Lots of work is still being done on the Coral Beach Hotel. They were working on it while we were there. The pool and beach access is very nice. We agreed it was one of the better condos to stay at on the island. Svetlana, Helen, and her property manager were wonderful to talk to. Everyone was very nice. Svetlana made sure I had everything I needed several days BEFORE we arrived, so our arrival went very smoothly. The condo was clean and worked perfectly for our group of 4. The elevator still does not stop on the 4th floor, but the stairs were very manageable, even for my 77 year old mother in law. She would just go down a flight and catch it on the 3rd floor. The pool area was gorgeous and the water felt amazing. Sometimes we wanted a break from the waves, and the pool hit the spot.

The condo was pictured correctly but the building was substandard and moldy
The condo was comfortable and clean. The elevators did not work. Water saturated the walls in the building. to touch the were soft and moldy. The island so poor. Clearly the government the port of authority cares nothing about these people just oil. Lucayan beach the natives said horrible things to us and were disorganized.the communties were filled with debris from hurricanes 10 years ago and 5 months ago. Terrible. Most resturants closed except for lucayan . Everything was in disrepair.

Unfortunately hurricanes are reality of island life. Their devastating effects can linger for many months and it is very hard for local economies to recuperate quickly. Coral Beach Hotel has come quite a long way after hurricane Matthew. More renovations are underway or planned pending receipt of money from the insurance company. The buildings have gone through several inspections and are pronounced safe. The natural beauty of Grand Bahama, with its beautiful beaches, canals, groves makes this island a desirable destination for vacation at any time. Port Lucaya is an active tourist hub and everything is up and running, all restaurants which are many are open as well as stores and attractions. Tourism is one of the main sources of livelihood for the people of Bahamas, everybody on the island depend on it and tries to do their share to keep the tourists coming and feel welcome.

Great location, great beach. Condo was nice with wifi and comfortable furnishings. Wonderful owners.
This property is under renovations due to the hurricane that hit the island. The repairs being made did not cause any major issues during our visit. The staff are wonderful and the restaurant and bar pool/beachside is quite enjoyable. The beach is just so relaxing and beautiful. Jon & Becky

great stay
The owner: Svetlana was very responsive and accommodating. The location of the apartment is really great: nice beach, very close to the Lucaya marketplace (with plenty of restaurants to choose from), nice swimming pool area with a bar serving food and drinks. Had a great time during our week long vacation. Would recommend to rent a car and visit: Lucaya National Park, Banana Beach, Taino Beach, snorkel at Paradise Cove Beach, charter a boat and go to Peterson Cay, on Wednesday night do a Fish Fry at Smith Point.

Poorly maintained
Arrived with no a.c. Owner claimed we were not setting it properly. Service had pulled the breaker, we found out late next day. Linens smelled like they had not been washed well or were very old. There was no soap anywhere. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. There was only a very dirty sponge in the kitchen. Service person puts in tasty banana bread. Overall, I would not recommend this unit.

We've stayed in this condo unit a couple of times, and it's great.
When we visit Freeport, we stay on Coral Beach, which is a lovely, secluded area, about a mile from the Lucaya Marketplace and marina. The condo is a 2BR/2 bath and is in great condition. It suits our needs well. Everything you need is a walk or a short cab ride away. Good place to stay; we'll be back.

Exactly as described
Staff and residents were very friendly. The condos pictures are extremely accurate. Owner called once we arrived to make sure everything was how it should be. Helen (maid) was super! She met us there with a smile and was always offering her services if we needed them. It was fabulous and I am missing it already.
