This was the cheapest motel on the island and it showed. When you first arrive, know that the office may be locked, you gotta call them or just get your key out of the box they have right outside the door lol. The room I was assigned smelled strongly & nauseatingly like cigarettes, had dirt on the bed, and a disgusting & unusable fridge. Smelled like straight mold because there was a wet towel, actual spots of mold, and something odd wrapped in foil ?? So gross. Had to switch rooms and the next room was mostly cleaner, had small bugs in the drawer and a beetle in my wash cloth, and you must know you gotta wear shoes!! The floor had my feet covered in black dirt I had to scrub off. Also came home at midnight one night and my room key did not work so I had to call likewhy can’t I get into my room? and the lady said “I saw your room key was going to deactivate today, so we made you a new one and it’s in the key box.” Wasn’t super happy that they didn’t tell me anything when they saw it, like I guess it makes sense why because I switched rooms but there was no communication at all so I had to have this confusing & frustrating ordeal when coming back late at night. This place isn’t totally horrible, probably better for someone who doesn’t have ocd because the bugs and dirt had me unable to relax or sleep, but I just had to share the disappointing facts of my experience this weekend

The only thing we liked about this place was the fact that the beds were new and clean. Everything else needed updating. The room was mildewy smelling. While it was described as having a kitchenette, there was no table and chairs on which to eat. There were no utensils; usually the basics are provided. While there was nothing in the cabinets there was a sticky film. The bathroom needs an update and it would have been acceptable but the shower was meager as most of the water was coming out of the tub spout. In spite of no refunds available, we left.

Would stay here again.
We arrived around 5 pm and was surprised the office door to check in was locked. You had to call a number and we were informed that our key was in the mailbox outside the door. The room itself was very nice although slightly musty smelling. It was spacious, with new flooring, nice paint job, clean white bed linens and towel. The locate There was also a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I thought there was supposed to be a hair dryer but wasn’t. Luckily, you could get one from the from office. With the exception of the beds I’d have to say that the bathroom and other furniture was pretty dated. Also, the toilet bowl wasn’t cleaned. They need a new bathroom floor too. Although I had some minor complaints, the room was very comfortable as were the beds. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would go back myself. The location was great too.

Great staff, rooms in very poor conditions
Pros: it is very quiet and the staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and helpful people. The mattress was good, I have lower back ache and this was firm and no issues. Cons: the rooms need a lot of work, and I mean A LOT. The first room had a window that wouldn't lock so we changed rooms. The second room had a door with a small gap at the top. It didn't hold heat well and the sheets are thin, no warmth at all. The shower head had multiple issues, struggling to properly work. The water smelled of rust. There were dead flies everywhere. Also, the first room smelled like someone definitely lived in it for a while and was a heavy smoker. I am all about saving money but there's no way I would stay there again.

Kind and helpful concierge unfortunately does not outweigh the mediocrity of the property. Dont be tempted by the proximity to the fairgrounds. There are other properties at similar price points. Our room smelled of must, there was no shower curtain, rust was in abundance, and the mattress sagged splendidly. Everywhere are little notes warning you not to plug in too many things or flip channels incorrectly, otherwise the whole house of cards will tumble.

Horribly disgusting
I am sad to say that this place was the worst experience I have had so far. I didn't have high expectations but the place was in a worse shape than the pictures lead to believe. The room was damp and smelled horribly. There were flies in the room with a fly catcher hanging form the light in the kitchenette (see image). Pillows were just thrown all over the bed, the bathroom had rust around. It was so bad that we left to go back home and not spend the night in there. The overall look and feel was that of walking in a neglected place. I don't know where the other reviews that gave 10/10 to this place came from but they are obviously over inflated and fake. I did not have any faith that asking for another room would have been any better in this place. So, I didn't bother to ask for one of argue with the front desk. I am sorry but this place was misleading with the pictures and not fair for the price we spent. Very very sad that I spent $500+ for two rooms and could not get a refund because we had already checked in.

Clean and quiet when the carnival isn't open. Great morning walks next to the bay. They have a small continental breakfast. a big parking lot if you have a boat, outside pavilions, a fish station and an outdoor pool. This was our second stay here and both times we got the room with a small kitchen.

I was charged for a room with two queen beds and got two full beds. The room was beyond dirty. The towels had brown spots. The bathroom floor was so dirty I went out and bought towels to lay on the floor. The bathroom sink had hairs in it from where someone shaved in it and it wasn't cleaned. We left on Saturday and we're unable to find the manager to inform them of the departure so nooneu was given back to us. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast from 8-10 I was told it might be 8:15 or 8:30 because the manager had a hard time getting up. Finally the room next to our which was only separated by a door played loud music from 11pm to 3am and no one stopped it.I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Friendly staff as previous reviews said. Room in desperate need of revamp especially kitchenette and bathroom. Although the floor could do with a deep clean especially into the corners, the sheets and towels were clean. The fly swot provided was very much used but think that’s a island wide issue… Oh and no battery in the smoke alarm, but I totally forgot to let them know about that when I checked out.
