Très mauvaise expérience.
À part la localisation centrale de l'hôtel, je ne trouve aucun point positif. Literie exécrable, insonorisation inexistante et pour couronner le tout, une fenêtre impossible à fermer dans une rue pour le moins animée. Bref, très mauvaise expérience.

Ok pour la situation géographique uniquement.
La photo montre une chambre ordinaire et bien entretenue. La literie était confortable et propre mais les chambres sont en mauvais état, abîmées, le mobilier est de seconde main, il y a des tâches d'usure et de saleté dans la salle de bain, sur les murs, sur les carreaux de fenêtre. Pas de double vitrage , le bruit de la rue est épouvantable. La situation géographique est le seul point fort de ce logement. Nous avons eu un rabais sur le parking.

On ne prend pas cet hotel pour son confort mais clairement pour sa situation et son prix attractif. Pas facile à trouver. La réception est très sympa, elle nous a fait la consigne pour les bagages. Sans hésitation je retournerai chez eux si je retourne voir un match à Cardiff.

Sympa mais pas exceptionnel
Un hôtel pas évident à trouver, dommage un petit manque d'indications. Accueil chaleureux et convivial. Chambre moyenne mais côté cour, donc agréable dans une rue aussi vivante. Hôtel très bien situé dans Cardiff.

Localisation idéale mais propreté à revoir!
Satisfaisant pour un ou deux nuits pas plus. La localisation est idéale puisque l'hôtel se trouve dans le centre de Cardiff, cependant il faut faire une croix sur le calme et la tranquillité (ville assez festive!!!) La propreté de la chambre laisse un peu à désirer, il ne faut pas être très regardant. Mais le personnel est très gentil et à votre disposition.

Great location. Walking distance from train station, castle, great pubs and restaurants. Rooms spacious and had everything you needed. Beds and pillows comfy but could have done with and extra blanket or two. Would definitely stay again.

Decent stay for what I paid. The location is great and right in the city centre and not far from the bus station as well as the train station. Slight smell of cigarette smoke on the bedding but apart from that it was a comfortable stay.

Convenient location but room was FREEZING with only single pane windows, a closet I could not use because it was smelling so bad of stale cigarette smoke, AWFUL decor and a bathroom I did not want to use because it was so scruffy and dirty feeling.

Good if you want to party
Went for the wrestling with friends. Really convenient as it is right in the Main Street but…it is right on the Main Street so it is LOUD. With a group of friends out on the lash it’s perfect. Family intending to sleep maybe not but I found it comfortable and a great place to use as a base to enjoy the nightlife.

The door to the toilet didn’t close. I don’t mind, but you should know there are no elevators; there were 58 steps to reach our room. It was good for the price, and excellent location for nightlife and shopping; a decent walk to the waterfront where I enjoyed looking at several species of birds.

Wouldn’t have paid more than £5 if I knew how bad
Guys - Yes it is cheap, but there is cheap abs then there is not even paying that little should allow anyone to stay in such a disgusting , shocking environment . So it starts with checking in, this is a sign in the door saying to go to the Kebab shop next door to collect keys, and then it starts you go in, and immediately start the climb, if your lucky it’s only 20 stairs to climb, abs they are steep to. If you are in room 7 like us, that is 75 stairs to climb, which is carpeted by a carpet that your feet stick to, it is filthy, then you get to your room. The door had foot marks as if it had been kicked in many times, then the room - Woooow - No pictures in the wall and curtains hanging off the rail, the walls had holes in the plaster, and hand marks all over them, the TV the size of a postage stamp, and the electric heater that ‘cannot be legal’ the beds would of been more comfortable if mad of concrete, and the bedding even though washed was covered in old stains. Again the carpet was torn and filthy. Then to finish there was the bathroom, urghhhh, the shower just abs I mean just produced water when turned on, and again the floor was disgusting… and when leaving on seeing the cleaner with 12 toilet roles with a price ‘£1.69’ on it summed it up - then the disaster was finalised by dropping the keys back to the kebab shop You may wonder why no photo’s and the truth is I wanted no trace of this stay anywhere to be found, as it was simply awful. Not worth a £5 stay away

Absolutely disgusting 😤
What a smelly and dirty place , stinks of damp throughout very steep stairs with ripped and stinking carpet , finally got to our room after what felt like a thousand steps , where do i start 1st woodwork dirty 2nd carpet more like wipe your feet on the way out 3rd bed like a concrete slab 4th shower all mouldy didnt dare use it , 5th woken up every hour with doors slamming and banging , 6th fan kept coming on in bathroom 7th green fire exit sign lighting the room up 8th get woken up by police banging on door at 5.30 in morn wrong room , 9th pick keys up from a greasy takeaway 10th tiny tv , wish i had read reviews 1st , would of been cleaner and comfier to sleep with the homeless on streets

The room was clean (other than behind furniture) and acceptable. The access was very difficult with luggage; three+ flights of stairs. I did not pay a lot for the room so it was good value for money. You get what you pay for.

We had to collect keys from fried chicken shop then climb 5 flights of worn carpeted stairs and the room at the top was very basic and worrying escape route down in an event of a fire. We did not stay - we booked at alternative hotel.

Great for a clean comfortable good value room
Clean basic hotel good value . Good location if you want to be central to the bars. No lift and 6 stories. Very narrow steep staircases. I had a bike which wasn’t great. Rooms are good , clean with tea and coffee and surprisingly quiet considering on main bar strip (my room was at back ) . However actual in building you can hear everything , especially doors slamming this is pretty unavoidable .

Good for budget short stay
If you are looking for something just to sleep at night and sightseeing whole day this small hotel is perfect. It’s old and worn out, definitely need some refurbishment and maintenance but the shower was hot and with good water pressure and bed sheets were clean (one of the beds not too comfy but it was ok). Highly recommended for budget short stay.

Our room did not match the photos
Our room did not look much like the photos shown on Hotels.com - the check in instructions on here are also wrong as the hotel they send you too no longer deals with this property, you have to go to a chicken shop instead! The bathroom light was falling off the ceiling, the shower temperature when from freezing to boiling in a second; there was an emergency light in the room with a very bright green LED that lit up the room all night. There are lots of stairs, but that was not too much of a problem. One of the beds was damaged and made a loud noise whenever you moved. The room was really hot, even with a fan on. It wasn't a good night’s sleep and I cannot understand why there are so many good reviews on here. Ok it was cheap, but didn't quite tick all the minimum requirements for a basic room
