Quaint but not highly luxurious, which was to be expected. Great location and very pleasant staff. We did not have time to enjoy the food but it looked and smelt delicious.

The hotel is perfectly located next to the market right in the center of Bristol. The twin room was nice and comfortable. The personnel was lovely. Very nice English Breakfast also

Hôtel beaucoup trop bruyant avec une qualité de service trop moyenne pour le prix demandé : ambiguïté sur le petit-déjeuner compris, chambre jamais faite en 3 jours, TV aux abois, simple vitrage ... Seul avantage: l'emplacement!

ma caravane sur les toits
Quelle sensation incroyable de se réveiller dans une caravane sur le toit en plein centre ville de Bristol, avec vue sur le St-Nicholas Market... Superbe expérience, par contre les caravanes sont petites, donc tout seul, c'est parfait, pour plusieurs personnes, pas sûr.

Accueil charmant, chambres petites mais très jolies et propres. Petit déj. à £9.- d'excellente qualité. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à 2 pas du marché couvert de St-Nicholas.

À première vue, l’hôtel est sympatique, accueillant et bien situé. Mais notre chambre était trop petite pour être confortable. Elle manquait d’air. À peine assez d’espace pour faire le tour du lit. Pas de placard, pas de climatisation, une seule petite fenêtre à ouvrir et des mouettes qui commencent à jacasser à 5h du matin. Nous avions hâte de changer d’hôtel.

Un hôtel très bien situé
L'hôtel est situé au coeur du marché St Nicholas dans la vieille ville. Le personnel de la réception est aux petits soins pour vous faire passer un bon séjour. C'est un hôtel où je reviendrai certainement pour un prochain séjour à Bristol.

Une expérience unique
Dormir dans une caravane sur les toits de Bristol est une expérience absolument géniale ! Je ne suis restée qu'une nuit mais je n'ai aucune critique négative sur cet hôtel.

Family Friendly
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, it was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Its location is very central, which makes it easy to visit any tourist attractions as well as to find nice restaurants. The only problem we faced was that the WiFi in the room worked on and off, however the WiFi in other regions of the hotel seemed to work fine. Generally, we had a pleasant and quiet stay.

Amazing, would stay again.
The room was spacious and well kept, so was the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. It was ideally located for us who were going to a concert at the Colston Hall. The staff was friendly. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast because we thought the price was a bit high (for our needs) but it looked nice from what I saw when we walked through the breakfast room on our way out. We had a great stay and would stay there again if we are in Bristol.

Une "guesthouse" très agréable, particulièrement bien placé à côté d'un petit marché très agréable et à 5 min à pied des zones d'activités. La chambre était particulièrement agréable. Une baignoire aurait été un plus. Le petit déjeuner anglais était simplement au "top".

The rooftop Airstream caravans sounded like lovely quirky accommodation, and having lived previously on a boat, I'm happy in small spaces. This one was looking very tired, though. The curtains were missing hooks, there was dirt and fluff in the corners, loose hooks, and – crucially on a baking day when I arrived – the electric cooling fan mentioned in the description was missing. The guy on reception provided one, but it wasn't working properly. He promised to take another one up for me, but didn't, necessitating back and forth to the roof and back down to reception more times than was necessary. Especially when there were 'wet paint' warnings on the final (narrow) staircase. The shower was a decent size, but the bathroom sink was tiny – almost too small to brush your teeth in, and the plug did not retain water for long enough to wet a facecloth. The location on the roof was also amazingly noisy, as my Airstream directly overlooked an outdoor disco area below, which kept going until the early hours every night of my three-night stay. There was also no security chain on the inside of my door, and the lock was very fiddly. The first time I came to leave after locking it from the inside, I thought I was stuck inside and might have to ring reception from my mobile for assistance. I managed to operate it in the end, but if there'd been an emergency, getting out might have taken longer than was safe. So, overall, a nice idea, but in need of a thorough spring clean and refresh.

Overall, a good experience and I would happily stay here again. The courtyard area gives a feeling of serenity in the busy Old City. The check-in experience was simple and painless. I stayed in room 19 which had an internal view from the window, meaning street noise was very much at a minimum. The room did have some peeling wallpaper, mould above the window and some areas could have been cleaner - but nothing major. The room was comfortable and of a good size, bed was comfy. I had breakfast in the morning which was freshly cooked and tasty, 8/10. The only issue was that the breakfast was mispriced in the guest book, so I was asked to pay more than was advertised. The staff member this time was a little cold and possibly irritated when I refused, but they relented in the end.

Excellent location for our son’s wedding.Less than 100yds. As it was the Easter weekend it was quite loud in the evening. Bedrooms were tight but comfortable and clean. Shower/ bathroom were very small but adequate. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

The bathroom door held together by Velcro and tired sofas and just general wear and tear in places. Generally clean however there was dirt and grime in places. Just needs a proper deep clean

VG stay at Brooks. Caravan was fun & comfy. Shower better than expected. Glad I brought my ear defence to mute the late night party goers in the streets below.

Checked into Guesthouse welcomed by polite and friendly member of reception staff. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Only negative we would point out is that our room was located at the back meaning the music from local bar was very loud and didn't stop till 2am.If your wanting an early night maybe ask for a room over looking court yard. Guesthouse is in good location for trip to hippodrome and visiting local shops and not to far from Bristol Temple meads..
