The beauty and serenity of Sugar Mountain are just waiting to put your mind at ease here at Sweet Retreat. Boasting an unmatched open layout with tall ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and rustic wood accents, this home away has the charm of a traditional cabin in the woods while still offering all of the comforts of home. Take advantage of the wraparound deck and bring a morning cup of coffee out into the crisp mountain air to start each day on a good note or end the night with a dip in the hot tub. Come summer, stepping outside for a cookout on the gas grill or gathering by the firepit as the stars come out will be a treat. For more formal dinners, the chef of the group can step into the fully equipped kitchen and whip up any recipe with ease. Plus, the living area will be the hub for entertaining with free WiFi, a large flatscreen TV, a stone fireplace, and plush sofas to kick back on.

Cute Cozy Spacious Cabin!!!
This place was perfect for our group. Had 5 adults and could’ve fit more people. The hot tub was absolutely amazing to have after being on the slopes all day. The main living area is huge, nice open floor plan. Central Heat works great but there is a gas fireplace that warms the place up quick too. Having a dryer to throw your ski clothes in is such a luxury so they’re dry by the time you put them on the next morning. Would 100% recommend this place and we will stay here again when we come back to ski, if it’s available.

Nightmare experience at Sweet Retreat, Sugar Mountain NC
Once we get there, We found the main bedroom messy. It seemed like somebody left the bedroom a few minutes ago. Nobody cleaned the house after the previous travelers left. The coffee brewer had the filter used inside. The dishwasher was full o dishes. The other bedrooms had only one sheet. So have to make up the beds. No trash bags. No paper towels. So we had to go to Food Lion to get some the first night. When we get there, nobody did anything to clear the driveway at least a little bit. It was full of snow, around 30 inches, and the hill is around 40 degrees. You only can access that driveway in that condition if you have a special truck. We had 4x4 vehicles but no big. So we had to park the cars on the street. Next morning a policeman told we have to move the cars asap. The third day we finally got 2 tickets. We have to pay $75 per vehicle. I got hurt when I was trying to access the house for the first time, I was buried till my knees, and then I felt down, because the stairs where frozen. I called them 4 times to claim for somebody to clear the driveway, because the House doesn't have a shovel. They told me that somebody is coming to clear the driveway right away. After 2 hours, I called again because nobody showed up, another operator told me they are not responsible for that situation, so I have to deal with that. 20 minutes later, somebody called me saying they are going to refund me 50% of cleaning fee and they will send somebody to clear the driveway.Nobody showed up

The cabin was extremely dirty, i call several times to see if they can come and clean but they never come. The master bedroom was extremely cold we got so sick. Don't stay in this properly you will waste your time and money.

The cabin was everything as pictured. Kitchen was very well equipped but bed were very uncomfortable. Had one hiccup with no toilet paper upon arrival which was resolved 24 hours later. Overall would use this site again.

This house is amazing! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, comfortable beds and a hot tub! Sunrise is beautiful! Perfect place to stay to enjoy Sugar Mountain. Location is close to fun things to do - we snowboarded, zip-lined and hiked! We will definitely will stay here again!

Wonderful Mountain Cabin
Overall we were very thrilled with the cabin from the time we got there until the time we left. The cabin was clean, spacious and had a great mountain feel. We really enjoyed the sunrise off the back deck as well as the hot tub at night. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your cabin. Note: There were not any check out instructions, so we hope that we left everything to your liking.
