January 20, 2010 - The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is now allowing one small carry-on bag for airline passengers who are travelling to the United States. Passengers travelling within Canada are still permitted two carry-on bags.
In addition, some personal items are permitted. Passengers may carry with them the following items: A purse OR laptop OR briefcase, camera bag, medication or medical devices, coats, items for care of infants, crutches, canes, walkers, containers carrying life sustaining items, a special needs item, musical instruments, diplomatic or consular bags, duty-free purchases or pets.
