The second annual Expedia.ca Paper Airplane Event is set to take flight on Saturday October 2, 2004 at Montréal’s Palais des Congrès. Participants will craft hand-made paper airplanes and compete in three categories: Family, General and Child, to win fabulous prizes including:
- Family Prize: A four-night trip at Universal's Royal Pacific Resort - A Loews Hotel, Florida (subject to change) plus four tickets to the Universal Theme Park
- General Prize: A five-night trip to the Grand Baja Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, including breakfast
- Child Prize: Game Boy Advance SP system

Participants interested in attempting to break the official Guinness World Record for the longest paper airplane flight (distance) are invited to do so, but must read the Guinness rules and regulations in full and follow them precisely in order to be eligible to break the Guinness World Record. Entrants attempting to break the Guinness World Record are not eligible for the Expedia.ca Paper Airplane event prizes, but may enter the Paper Airplane event separately.
