The Scene One of the city's few remaining historic clothiers, Boyds employs 60 European tailors, battalions of sales associates--and a few parking valets--to make suit-shopping a very vogue experience. This well-appointed department store boasts marble staircases, mahogany shelves, elegant fitting rooms and fashion coordinators around every corner--even a swell cafe.
The Goods Boyds is best known for its house-tailored trousers and jackets of imported silks, wools and linens. Sportswear and formal attire for the fellas come from designers like Armani, Missoni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Donna Karan. Bally, Bruno Magli, Cole Haan, Testoni and Ferragamo are on the men-only shoe roster. Women's wear includes Sonia Rykiel, Trombolini, Rena Lange and Zanella. The store's own flawless line (for both genders) is Trussini.
