The Scene No-frills decor and waitresses who call everybody "Hon" make sure that the experience is all about the food. Families from the neighborhood fill the room--though suburban stragglers tend to pop in before or after sports events.
The Food It's awesome stick-to-your-ribs South Philly Italian fare (yes, better than nearby Ralph's) at more than affordable prices. Steamed mussels marinara with just the right amount of garlic is addictive: Don't be bashful about asking for more bread to mop it up. The Villa salad is reminiscent of the old Jimmy's Milan classic, and fried asparagus in butter sauce is as delicious as it sounds. Entrees are generous; anything served with red sauce is delicious--most notably the pasta with meatballs, chicken Parmesan and seafood-filled linguine.
