At the end of a small alley off a busy shopping street and overlooked by most passersby, the historic 16th-century Weinstadl is well worth hunting out. In summer the courtyard beer garden is a cool delight. In winter the brass-studded oaken door opens onto a vaulted dining room where traditional Bavarian fare is served at bench-lined tables. A lunchtime menu and a glass of excellent beer leave change from EUR10. The cellar, reached via a winding staircase, features live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
