How will I know if I've been accepted to the program?
You'll receive confirmation of your acceptance into the Expedia.ca Affiliates Program immediately following the submission of your request for enrollment.

Does it cost anything to become an Expedia.ca Affiliate?
No. Enrollment is free. There is no initiation or membership fee to become an Expedia.ca Affiliate Partner.

How do I earn money when users of my Web site are referred to Expedia.ca?
Each time a visitor of your Web site is referred directly to Expedia.ca and books/reserves a qualifying flight, hotel room or rental car, you earn money.

So how do you track when a user is sent from my Web site to Expedia?
At the time of enrollment, you will be issued a unique Source ID that will allow us to keep track of all qualifying transactions which users from your site generate on Expedia.ca. Your Source ID must be used in all links to Expedia.ca.

Once my program is up and running, how can I view reports on sales activity from my Web site?
Once you sign up with the Expedia.ca Affiliates Program you will be given a password to access reports showing the quantity and types of transactions being made by users of your Web site on Expedia.ca.

Can a Web site outside Canada be an Expedia.ca partner?
Yes. We welcome Affiliates from anywhere in the world; however, customers that buy from our site must pay in Canadian dollars and tickets will only be sent to a Canadian mailing address. All commission payment cheques to Affiliates are in U.S. dollars. For your U.S. - based customers, we recommend you also join the Expedia.com Associates Program.

I operate more than one Web site. Can I still be an Affiliate?
Yes. You can have one Affiliate account with us that will include all of your sites. You can track the progress of each of your sites separately and be paid with only one commission cheque.

Is my Web site eligible to become an Expedia.ca Affiliate?
You may submit an application, but we do reserve the right to refuse membership to a site or revoke a site's membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material.

What are my responsibilities an as Associate?
You are responsible for using the tag generator on Expedia.reporting.net to create and place links on your site and maintaining branded links to Expedia.ca. We handle everything else.

What are Expedia's responsibilities?
We will provide you with the tools and support you need to maximize sales through your site. We also handle processing transactions and billing for all customers you refer to us.

I don't have a Web site. Can I still apply?
No. In order for us to accept you as an Affiliate, we must be able to view your Web site.

Can I participate in other affiliate programs?
Yes. Participation in Expedia.ca's Affiliates Program does not limit you from participating in other affiliate programs.

How do I change my account information?
Once you have been accepted as an Affiliate, you will be given access to Expedia.reporting.net. Your account information can be modified through Expedia.reporting.net.

Will becoming an Affiliate increase traffic to my site?
Our Associate Program is a revenue-sharing program. It is not designed to help you increase traffic to your site; however, it enhances your site with content, so your user return rate may be higher.

SETTING UP LINKS

How do I create links?
We have an automatic tag generator on Expedia.reporting.net that creates HTML that you cut and paste into your Web site. It is so easy to use even beginners can create links in seconds. The tag generator allows you to create multiple types of links to our services.

Where should I place the links on my site?
You should place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find, such as your home page. Some areas you may want to place your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase.

How often should I update my links?
You should update links to our services frequently. We are constantly adding new services, so you should create new links that fit the interests of your visitors.

Can I use your content on my site?
You may use any of the links, ad banners, graphics and icons provided to you on the merchandising page. Use of any other content from our website is prohibited without prior written approval.

TRACKING, PAYMENT, AND REPORTING

How much can I earn?
We cannot predict how much you will earn from our Affiliate Program because we don't know anything about your Web site or its visitors.

How do I know how much commission I've earned?
Through Expedia.reporting.net, you can access reports, which are updated daily, that provide information on impressions, orders, transactions and commissions earned.

How often do I get paid?
We will send you a cheque for a percentage of the sales you referred to our site every quarter, provided you earned more than $150 in combined commission. Please review the Operating Agreement for complete details and information.

Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes. When you complete a transaction with us through your Web site, you earn the same commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase.

What about cancellations?
If a user cancels a transaction, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction.

How can I monitor my sales?
You can monitor your sales by accessing reports as often as you like through Expedia.reporting.net.

Who processes transactions and handles customer service?
We do all of that for the customers that you refer to our site. All you have to do is place links on your site. We do the rest!

How will you know that the transactions came from my site?
All links from your site contain a unique identifier so that every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you when a purchase is made. This is only possible, though, when you create all of your links with the tag generator on Expedia.reporting.net.

How often can I run reports?
You can run reports daily if you wish. Expedia.reporting.net, our reporting Web site, is updated daily with the latest information about your site.

I operate more than one Web site. Can you track them separately but pay me with one commission cheque?
Yes. You can have multiple sites under one Affiliate account. You can create links and generate reports specifically for each site, but you will receive one commission cheque for all of your sites. To set up an account with multiple sites, please contact us with the names and URLs of the additional sites.
