Lovely staff. I will stay again
Staff are great. Very welcoming and efficient. Food is great too. Shame the bar and the terrace cannot open at the same time.

A pity there’s no minibar in the room Also, the vending machines should be updated to accept card payments in light of the above.

A very pleasant hotel with great staff.
Lovely hotel with great staff. Good menu choice. Room fridge didn’t keep stuff cool. The gardens and surrounding areas need some work.

Not business trip friendly
The hotel advertised as a business friendly hotel. However due to flight I arrived at hotel at 11pm, and absolutely no facility to get food or drink. All restaurants and bars closed. The check in staff refused to even sell me one beer (after a long journey!) they said “I can get you a delivery from outside only everything is closed here” made no sense to me, if your checking in late, it would be at least nice to get a sandwich and a drink at the least. I even had to pay for the room at check in. Which took around 20mins as the computer was not working either… room was comfortable and breakfast was good however. Unfortunately though, it really should not advertise as business friendly, when it isn’t. Arriving late at a hotel for a visit to a morning client is the norm. And having facility for food and drink in a hotel is a must! Even at 11pm!

Dear Paul, First of all thank you for writing this review. Our apologies for not making your stay as comfortable as it should be. Our restaurant facilities are open till 10pm; at all time you should be able to get a drink if there is staff left in our restaurant or bar till at least 11-12pm. Our kitchen staff were due to cleaning services not able to serve any dishes from our menu at this time. My sincere apologies for the disappointment. Nevertheless we are delighted that our rooms and breakfast were fairly well, and we hope we may welcome you again in our hotel!

As usual with Van der Valk, good value for money. Spacious room with balcony, easy free parking and just a 5 minute drive to city centre. Easy and professional check in.

Glad to go home.
The food was so so, the coffee was not warm after diner. They couldn't decide if we had to pay afterwards or immediately. It was very noisy in the evening with trolleys at the corridor. This was by far the worst stay at van der Valk ever for us.

An Amazing hotel in Goes
We stay at the Van Der Valk when we visit Goes. It is a wonderful hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean. An amazing restaurant where the buffet is the best on the planet! We stayed for three nights and it was perfect in every way!

Great hotel. I always stay there when I am in Goes. The room spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Big shower space. The restaurant in the hotel with good menu. Great breakfast. Very complete and many options to choose. They have also special soja products. I recomend this hotel.

Not a great room for a business trip
Have stayed here before and have had a modern elegant room. This time the room was like staff quarters. There was a mismatch of bathroom facilities - new shower, tiling and toilet basin but old toilet water container and old radiator. Linen was cheap bed cover and not the normal simply styled furnishings. No power points near the desk. Room was in essence pretty grim. On the plus side lovely room service, excellent breakfast and great restaurant.

Great night in Goes
Room decor could be modernised but overall clean and comfortable. I arrived late and kitchen was closed, barman couldn’t have been more helpful arranging a late snack of the best Carpaccio I’ve ever tasted, great beer selection also. Breakfast was also excellent, great selection in a lovely setting, ideal way to start the day.

Would recommend and would return
Hotel very comfortable and well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Meals were of a good quality. It is located a little way out of the city but has good access, not sure if it is walkable as my trip was for business and I didn't have any spare time to explore the area.

Great stay.
I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. All was great including the meals. I at in the restaurant at night and had breakfast in the morning. Spoiled for choice really. Very good for the price. Only small snag was the 2 male waiters serving at the bar openly quarrelling. Very unprofessional.

Spectacular hotel really close to our dog show

The stay was great. The buffet breakfast really great. the room are very spacious and comfortable. A large parking. The service in the restaurant was a little slow. 45 minuts waiting, But the food was good.

V. good hotel in Goes
V.good hotel in this area. No VanDerValk hotels are cheap!. Fair Cost/Package value. Good WiFi. Plenty parking. Good bar/restaurant facilities. Good Hot breakfast spread. None of this budget/ibis/type "continental/cold oddments" . Traditional dutch hotel as it should be. I didnt get time to use facilities/gym etc. Many locals go cycling in area. not in city center location.

Nice hotel
Hotel was very nice. The restaurant served good quality food and everyone spoke English. The room was spacious and I loved the balcony to go out and get some fresh air. Be prepared--there is no iron in the room.

Good hotel with friendly helpful staff and great breakfast buffet. Downside was the bed was two small beds pushed together with two separate duvets. Not the best for a couple!

Everything we wanted.
Having booked at very short notice without doing much research we were not expecting such a lovely experience. We really couldn't find fault with anything. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the food was good. We thoroughly our two nights at the hotel and will definitely stay there again when we need to return to the area.
