Excellent hotel, probably the best on the island all round. We chose this hotel over others primarily because of location (close to food, beach and a port), and, among others of its class, this property looked the most modern with a clean bathroom. The photos honestly don’t do the hotel justice in terms of looks and comfort. There were two great swimming pools. We had a private pool too. We saw the hotel being cleaned thoroughly daily, from the pool to mopping the stone floors outdoors. Staff are amazing and so is the buffet breakfast every morning.

The service and staff were exceptional. Staff was always very helpful and kind. Highly recommend staying at the Hotel Contessina when visiting Zakynthos.

This property felt like a dream. The decor is chic without being overly modern. There is a perfect balance to the decor with an abundance of beautiful plants everywhere. The location is excellent - walking distance to the sea and close to the strip of restaurants, cafes, bars, mini golf, arcade, shops, grocery stores - everything you need. The staff is passionate about what they do and will do anything you need to help you. We went to town for dinner each night so didn’t have an opportunity to eat at the rooftop restaurant but the food at the sushi restaurant and pool restaurant were excellent. Great options for all - I am a vegetarian so always felt like I had options - even at breakfast. There is a beautiful vegetable garden on site and many herb bushes used for the food and drinks. The pool and poolside vibe was great for all and we always felt comfortable with our young kids playing and splashing sun bathers from time to time! No one seemed to mind. There are plenty of pool loungers and we always found a spot no matter what time we came down. The entire property was impeccably clean. The bedroom setup was the best we have yet experienced for a family of 4. Both of our boys had their own sofa beds in what felt like a separate room (without a wall) and a balcony and we had our own balcony also. The spa was excellent- a must visit for an extra touch of pampering! All in all - my family and I had the best vacation here and I would recommend it to anyone. A true gem!

Fabulous hotel with excellent level of customer service. We went as 2 family of 4 ( teenagers and a 3 year old in the group) and the hotel was a great place to stay with kids pool and adult pool. Location was walking distance to lots of beaches and shops. We had the garden pool room which was a lot more money than the average room and was nice but perhaps we wouldn’t do that option again and choose a normal family suite as the pool room was a little on the small side for 4 people and Wardrobe space was tight. But that was the only thing we have to stay otherwise we really liked the hotel.

Amazing property, staff and breakfast
Amazing boutique hotel at an amazing price. The staff was exceptional and the property is so beautiful. The breakfast buffet was out of this world. I’ve never seen such a buffet. Must have had over 50 items with everything including a dessert section. Very unusual items and great presentation. They upgraded both our rooms to spa tub inside room. Very relaxing atmosphere and plush. It was a real pleasure staying here.

Hotel Contessina is high quality hotel with very good service, higher than four stars. Compliments for the team! The hotel is new and modern designed, with very good landscaping. Every terrace has luxuriant vegetation. The hotel is extremely clean. The rooms are comfortable, some of them have their own pool. The breakfast is with good variety and good quality of food. Only one minus: in the hotel’s website is written that dinner is buffet. But it is not. It is on set-menu, but with not enough options and not consistent with food allergies. The dinner is a little like in students canteen. But when we made a complaint, they restored the money for the dinner in our room’s bill, so we could order food and beverage. So my advice is book a room with breakfast only. Everything else was perfect!

A lovely property, we were upgraded to a private pool room which was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The property was close to the beach and restaurants.

Perfect Getaway
I took a solo trip and stayed there for four nights and it was nothing short of magnificent. I requested early check-in before my arrival and I was able to check in 4 hours before the specified time. My room was spacious and luxurious. I booked the half board option and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were genuinely friendly and really went out of their way to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely go back there!

Fantastic hotel!
Beautifully renovated property with an attention to design details. The hotel is located in the busy Tsilivi area, but you feel more like in an oasis at the hotel itself. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! The room is on the small/tight side, but has a closet to stow away your clothes. Breakfast buffet was also great, with a lot of tasty food and options. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great team! Great vacation!
This was my first vacation since 2019. And was great. Very good hotel, beautiful pool area. Quiet. Very clean. Safe. Everybody wear masks. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is open and the air is circulating. We received an upgrade and the room was fantastic with a pool. Only one thing: there are no many choices for dinner. It’s on a set menu with gourmet variations, but there can be more choices. But our stay was great. I will recommend the hotel to my friends.

Fantastic hotel and resort
Had an absolutely fantastic stay in this hotel. The hotel is very welcoming with an airy reception. Staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. On arrival we were allocated room 112. The room itself was spacious and spotless but the outlook was the stairwell of the next block and was over the kitchen. When we spoke to reception they arranged to move us the next day, no problem. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. They are cleaned regularly The pool area is lovely and had plenty of sun beds and shades. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, which due to covid was selected from the menu and plated up by a staff member. The staff are what really make this hotel, friendly, attentive, courteous and hard working. It is hard to pick out anyone in particular they all play their part in making this a very welcoming place. It is located in a quieter part of the resort but there are still plenty of restaurants and bars close by with our favourite being the Liminaki, due in equal parts to its location, food and excellent service. This hotel and resort are definitely on our return to list.

Best hotel stay ever
Absolutely amazing stay at the hotel, beautiful rooms and hotel and amazing staff that can’t do enough for you! We stayed as a group of 7 friends and had the best time on the island. Would definitely recommend! Anastasia was amazing and has the best service alongside the bar staff and managers.

Lovely comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Short 2 min walk to the beach in one direction and then shops in the other. Only downside was that you could hear all the noise from other guests if they were in the hallway as it echoed.

Beautiful modern hotel
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Fotini. We had booked a double room which is compact but well designed to have enough space. Very nice modern design and clean. Staff members Christo and Eri were great! Overall beautiful modern hotel, free parking which is a big plus, very nice pool, great staff and great location surrended with many restaurants and only a 10 minute drive to Zakynthos town. Would definitely stay here again.

Sparkling clean and brand new. Renovations completed recently so don’t let the photos on other websites put you off from booking. Great breakfast and outstanding customer service. Only downside is if you’re looking to stay of the touristy area in Zante this might not be your first choice. Convenience of restaurants and bars at walking distance is important but also quite busy at night.
