Good access to great shopping areaPosted 10-Nov-2013
Pros: Location to nearby restaurants.
Cons: Shampoo carpeting, repair AC unit
Location: Great food, Imperial Dunes are about one half hour west.
Shilo Inn is near the Interstate, but maybe a little too closely if your room is on the west side near the on ramp. Great shopping area and lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel reception area is inviting, and the pool looked nice. The excercise room was locked until after 6am, so I was unable to access this area of the hotel. My room had unpleasant odor, and the AC unit rattled louder than it should have. One night was enough.

Cons: $25 for pets is too much. Charge a security deposit , if they do damage its covered, but if not, give it back. LaQuinta charges nothing

Don't get sucked in by the lobby.Posted 6-Oct-2013
Pros: The hotel was close to shopping and dining.
Cons: Update the rooms, replace the improperly printed key cards that have the arrows on the wrong end and get card keys that program properly.
Location: Good shopping, dining and theatres.
From the look of the lobby I expected the room to be of similar quality/standards. The lobby is new and current looking. My room looked like it was last updated in the 1980's and wreaked of cigarette smoke. The room was old and worn.

Nice for a short stayPosted 19-Sep-2013
Pros: Convenient, clean. nice sheets on the beds.
Cons: The A/C was loud. It kept going on and off. Refrigerator was just sitting under the sink. It was not installed. And the ice machine was out of order
Location: Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.
Clean and convenient to everything. Needs a lot of fix up. New carpet would be nice Some repairs too.

Very nice hotel. Enjoyable stay. Accomodating stafPosted 11-Sep-2013
Pros: Nice room. The staff has been very pleasant, and accomodating. Biggest pool and spa in Yuma, Az.
Cons: Would love to see them open up a dining/restaurant section.
We often stop in to visit family nearby. We have found the Shilo Inn to be a very comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed the pool and spa immensely. The hotel staff is indeed very friendly, pleasant, and accomodating. We could not ask for more. The complimentary breakfast is wonderfull.

Perfect hotel for mePosted 9-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
I originally booked for one week of my two week stay in Yuma in case I wasn't happy with the Shilo. I enjoyed my first week so much that I extended for the entire stay. The staff was friendly, it was clean, and it has a beautiful courtyard and pool. In addition, the location was ideal - close to the freeway exit and the mall without being noisy. I plan to stay there again when I return.
