"Close enough to Yosemite to be worth the drive"
We found the hotel staff to be very pleasant and helpful. We were offered an upgraded room at no added cost when I asked about the amenities in the room I had reserved. It was right next to the office. Had a large private balcony which we sat out on during a rain storm. Only problem was that every noise from the office was heard in our room; as was the popcorn that they were popping. Thankfully the office closed at 10:00 so we were able to get some good sleep. We had dinner at the attached restaurant. The Elk Steak was very good. I asked the waiter to ask the chef if it was possible to not have the horseradish sauce that came with the dish; but to change the sauce to any other of the sauces that the chef had for other meat dishes. He prepared a wonderful red wine reduction with mushrooms that complimented the elk quite well. My bride had the Prime Rib which she very much enjoyed.

"Make sure you get a waterfront deluxe room "
Resort is very nice. Located directly on Bass Lake. Waterfront deluxe rooms are very nice. Cottages are just that. Old, mildew smelling, dirty rooms. Ok if you want an outdoorsy camping feeling without staying in a tent.

"excellent place to stay"
Really good place to stay, we were on route from Vegas to Tahoe, only stayed one night but would love to have stayed longer, really good vibe, nice places to eat, and very helpful front desk. Lots to do for the active family, we got the early cable car to the top of mammoth and then went to Yosemite, which is amazing. Love the barbecues that you can use around the pool and the fire pit. Defiantly recommend

"Quiet cute cabins, beautiful lake view"
We had a great stay at this lodge. Cabin was small but had everything that was necessary. Only problem was at breakfast the staff seemed to be having difficulty. No coffee, no plates, no napkins had to ask or wait for these things. Other than that stay was wonder I just recommend going into town for breakfast or hitting the grocery store and cooking in your cabin. Did not stay in hotel but overheard a conversation about shared bathrooms. Best to get the cabin. Free wifi in cabin was also very convenient and fast. Only source of entertainment because tv for watching movies is only available upon request.
