Excellent Hotel 10 out of 10!

Posted 28-Feb-2014
Pros: Excellent staff, beautiful decor, great restaurant, hot showers and very comfortable beds.
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
Location: The Inn is situated in Oakhurst, which is a short drive to Yosemite National Park, the main attraction for the area.
If you want good old fashioned hospitality, comfort and style at an affordable price, then you simply cannot go past Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn. This place truly is a home away from home. From the friendly, courteous and helpful staff at the front desk to a room that has it all including comfortable beds, beautiful murals on the wall and great hot showers, you could not want for more. Add to this, only a short drive from the Inn and you are in Yosemite National Park with all its beauty and splendor. The Inn has it's own restaurant, and the meals where simply delicious, with excellent sized serves. If I had to use one word to describe this hotel, the word would be "excellent". If you are traveling to Yosemite then all you and your family will need for an excellent resting place, is right here at this hotel. Don't drive past.

The rooms are dated. No breakfast. Room supplies are low quality.

Even better than expected

Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or many facilities but was pleasantly surprised by the room. Not too far of a drive from Yosemite.

Nice romantic hotel

Posted 1-Jan-2014
Pros: The location and the rooms.
Cons: A safe in the rooms would be good.
Location: Very close to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Mountain Railway, supermarkets, places to eat and Petrol.
Lovely hotel, very close to Yosemite National Park, which was unfortunately closed when we were there, due to the government shut down!!!. Although, we visited the Yosemite Mountain Railway, which was really good fun. Close to shops, petrol etc. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Lovely swimming pool.

Comfortable for family stay

Posted 25-Nov-2013
Pros: Price, Location, Staff, Amenity, Family friendly
Cons: Room description, room style
Location: groceries, restaurants, banks
Our family visited Yosemite Park during the fall and one of our choices is Best Western Plus at Oakhurst. My first impression was that a staff at front desk was very kind and nice. We stayed one night at two bedrooms with three beds and it was better than our expectation. I saw many reviews about 1970s style rooms but it is not that old, at least tvs are very new. We care more about the room cleanliness such as carpets, bed skirts, linens and bathrooms. About that, we really enjoyed and satisfied with Best Western Plus at Oakhurst. Pillows and sheets are clean and towels were plenty. One thing that we didn't expect was that there was only one bathroom and no kitchen. If I was able to see this information before booking, we could be better prepared. We also used barbeque area for our dinner which was very clean. Indoor pool was also close to our room and jacuzzi was okay. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay, will definitely consider to visit again.

Lovely mountain getaway

Posted 19-Nov-2013
Pros: Room size, bed comfort, convenience, location, fridge and microwave
Cons: signage to pool was lacking
Location: close to entrance to Yosemite, lots of good restaurants
This mountain gem near the southern entrance to Yosemite is a great place to stay. My husband and I enjoyed the nice, comfortable room, great view, indoor pool and jacuzzi, and convenient on site restaurant. It was easy to get to, and close to a wide variety of choices for food and provisions. There is an onsite laundry, plenty of free parking, and two mysterious statue of liberty replicas
