“Excellent Place to Stay While Visiting Yosemite”

Service at the front desk was excellent, and the staff actually offered us an extra discount on top of the original online rate without us even asking for it. The location was great, only about 10 minutes away from the south entrance of Yosemite and the giant sequoia trees. Overall, a very good experience and comfortable one-night stay. Highly recommended.

“A Western delight”

My fiancee and I were so happy to stay at the Best Western Yosemite Gateway, it is a great spot and a good value for our 2day/1night trip to Yosemite. We found it much cheaper than anywhere in the park or even the other hotels in Oakhurst. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and were very pleased with the patriotic decorations in the lobby. Although the room reminded us more of a how hotels were 20 years ago, it was clean, comfortable, and had a modern TV. Also, there was an enormous Yosemite mural hand-painted on the wall, presumably painted by the owner. This is not a place for snobs, but fine if you just want a place to stay. There is also a pool an hot tub. Oakhurst is a fine town to stay in, much cheaper than in the park, and with more amenities. There are several restaurants (we were worn out so just stopped at McDonalds before checking in-it was a pretty good one), a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, cheap gas, and a grocery store. The hotel is about a 30 minute drive from the Mariposa Sequoia Grove, so it's a good place to stay if you are visiting the Grove in the evening or morning. The Grove is a must-see at Yosemite, but is rather far from the other big attractions. One note is that they made us pay for the room in the morning. Apparently their deal with Expedia only guarantees you your reservation, but you are not charged until checkout. The owner of this hotel is a true patriot, and he should take great pride in his business. We would highly recommend it to others!

Great place to stay when going to Yosemite!

“Better than Best Western at Mariposa”

We stayed at Mariposa last year on our trip to Yosemite. The price at Mariposa was much higher this year. Seeing that distance from the valley was about the same at Mariposa as Oakhurst, we gave this location a try. The rooms appear to be pretty new. The rooms were large and comfortable. We will definitely look to coming back to this location in the future.

I liked this hotel. Rooms were clean, had a kitchenette with a sink, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator, and the beds were very comfortable. T.V. service and channel offering was good. The only thing lacking was an included breakfast with the price as many Best Western include breakfast. The Hotel is located 14 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite National Park.

“Unforgettable its beautiful surroundings”

I really satisfied my staying in this hotel. I usually stay in Best Western whenever my family trips. This Best Western was the one of the best! The foremost merit of this hotel was its wonderfully natural and beatiful surroundings. The whole environment of Hotel's inside and outside areas surrounded trees, flowers, and all natual beauty. They also have indoor pool and sauna facilities. Asian restaurants are very close to this hotel, and they were fantastic!

“Nice location for Mariposa Grove”

This was a nice, clean Best Western at a very good value. The room had the same mural painted on the wall as we had at our lodge in Yosemite! We found it close to Mariposa Grove, so we could spend more time there. We would definitely stay at this Best Western again.

HAD A GREAT TRIP IN EARLY APRIL. SNOWED SEVERAL INCHES AND FAMILY WAS NOT FULLY PREPARED FOR WEATHER. HAD TO PURCHACE CHAINS AND SNOW SHOES. EXPECTED MORE SPRING WEATHER,

“Tops in Oakhurst”

Loved the hotel. A staff member noticed my husband's problem walking and immediately asked if we wanted a ground floor room. Yes, we did, altho I hadn't scheduled it, and they accommodated us with a fabulous room. That's my idea of good service. The next morning the maid helped my husband get ice in the chest, and suggested places to eat. You can't beat the service. The view was wonderful and the outside is gorgeous. We will go back!
