“Internet is a rip-off.”

I have to say, I was not excited about this hotel stay. I was expecting a beautiful hotel room, and the room was very nice, however the water smelled quite strongly from the taps (bath was therefore a little unpleasant). Room was clean, but Internet was not included. On the expedia ad, it stated that the internet was included- imagine my surprise when I was charged a ridiculous amount of money (15% of the room cost nearly) to connect to the internet. I firmly believe that all business hotels should have free internet access. When I spoke to the hotel at checkout, I showed them how the expedia ad stated free internet, they agreed to waive the fee- days later I was contacted by the hotel manager (who was unavailable at the time of my checkout- as was the manager on duty) who explained that they were going to charge my card for the internet. Considering I stayed there 3 days, and frequently travel to China, I found the nickel and dimeing exhausting. I would not stay there again for this reason. I think that you can find better value for money, and would recommend the metropark xiamen in it's place- breakfast is included there...
