We found the billing structure, very confusing, leaving a deposit of £400, which was supposedly not taken from our account but was, and transactions taken from our account which shouldn’t have been and we’re told that they knew nothing off. We’ve been to the Lyon Arms three times now this is the first time we have actually had a problem with the billing issue which they were not really interested in discussing hence we will not be returning back to this hotel again. We will be choosing another hotel in Broadway which we do like. Plus I think this time round the food wasn’t up to much Polk eggs were cold in the middle and my chicken curry. Oh if I had known better it came out of jar service I cannot fault it was unbelievable. Other staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed with my boyfriend for an early Christmas break. The hotel is lovely, such friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and cocktails in the evening. We stayed in a classic cottage room. Had a bath and big separate walk in shower. Room short walk from the hotel. Such a cosy, romantic ambience at this time of year with the Christmas decorations and log fires burning. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay

Our couple of nights at The Lygon was a wonderful experience. There was attention to every small detail. The staff were helpful and attentive and the food in the Grill restaurant was superb!

Wonderful staff
A wonderful stay. All of the staff were amazing in all respects. Friendly, helpful and professional. Could not be faulted. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly as is Broadway.

Top notch
Bedand pillows were very comfy. The service was top notch. All staff highly trained. Nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail with all the staff was evident. Broadway is a lovely village with many I dependant shops. Good place for walking. Treatments were excellent in the Spa. Amy was a wonderful therapist.

A fabulous hotel
Really helpful and nice staff. I left a piece of jewellery in the safe in my room and they found it and kept it for me . I was very relieved. The room that we had in the main building is just lovely . A little fireplace and very cosy and well equipped . The hotel lounges are so nice and cosy and the bar is first rate . We go several times a year and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.

LOVELY WEEKEND BREAK
The gardens and public areas of the Hotel were excellent but we thought the rooms were tired in relation to the cost of them. Spa and treatments were great. Service and restaurant were very good. Could do with more staff on reception when checking in and out though. Overall a lovely stay.

A unique hotel, so relaxing and full of history Only minus point we went out at 11, when came back at 2 our room had not yet been done, but a very minus point. Staffs are excellents and provide top service. Breakfast is best i ever had and so is room service

My only complaint is how cold our accommodation was. The radiators were all turned off. We were given an electric radiator for the lounge area which helped but the bedroom bathroom and lobby were cold. Everything else was lovely.

Gorgeous historic hotel. We stayed in the King Charles room. 2 rooms that are stunning! 4 poster bed is beautiful. Living room so quaint. It is like being back in time. Restaurant is incredible both dinner and breakfast. Bar area is elegant. Perfect location to stroll around town. A wonferful visit on our vacation from the USA. Thank you ❤️

Cotswold Dream destination
Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful spa. We were so excited to have a pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi all in one place! We used them all. A few little glitches that are hardly worth mentioning when you take into consideration how nice and efficient the staff are. Lovely breakfast and we dined one evening and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. We would definitely recommend this hotel and this town.

Stunning hotel
We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful hotel. It was a return stay for our 40 wedding anniversary, we had spent our honeymoon there, we were even given the same room plus lots of little treats. The staff were amazing. Food & service excellent too. One little gripe would be the dawn chorus….not the sound of birds sadly but barking dogs! Lots of them. It’s a dog friendly hotel. Nothing against dogs but would rather not be woken up by their barking!

A very characterful property in a prime position in Broadway. Lovely courtyard and gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Slightly disappointed that the hotel does not provide items that should be standard at this price point and which would enhance the experience eg no turn down service, no nibbles with cocktails in bar, kettle in room with instant coffee rather than coffee machine. No mini bar. Breakfast buffet okay but nothing special and service very slow re cooked items. Tables in bar not wiped clean. Not sure we would return.

As always, The Lygon never met us down. We have stayed at the hotel around half a dozen times and always feels like home from home. Although we visit the cotswolds a number of times each year, on this occasion we actually booked ourselves into a hotel in Rutland Waters, Lincs. But after one night we realised that we made an error and contacted the Lygon immediately and they were able to accommodate us. If you are staying in the Costwolds, there are 4 or 5 decent hotels but if you are looking for an authentic Cotswolds experience, The Lygon will always deliver.

Lovely and charming
The Lygon Arms is a charming hotel property to stay at. The afternoon tea is great value and the staff are all very curteous and helpful at all times. The Spa area is neat but nothing extraordinary, the treatments are great but priced a little steep. The steam room should have a tap and a hose to be able to refresh the surfaces eith water.

We had a disturbed night's stay due to a flashing light in our room ( wifi related we believe) which woke us up at 2:30 AM. Added to this were 2 fire alarms - one at 7:55am requiring room evacuation. The hotel will try to fix the wifi flashing issue and thanks us for our feedback. The fire alarms were caused by guests and beyond the control of the hotel. So we had a bad experience and the hotel thanks us for the feedback but that's it. Better luck next time.

Lovely quiet rooms in the annex. The hotel had many areas to sit to enjoy reading, eating etc. Beautiful gardens at the back. Courtyard too is beautifully landscaped.

Cosy comfortable hotel.
The hotel is great . Full of atmosphere, comfortable, cosy and in a great position. The James Martin restaurant is overpriced and underwhelming unfortunately.

Bad service and food was not up to what it should be. After we left they charged us 50 pounds for an Amazon Fire stick that we left in the room. Typical of the level of service from them. Not a well run hotel.
