Pros: Very nice setting. Walk in the woods. Stream.
Cons: Window screens would allow the windows to open without bugs. More traditional breakfast. They were trying very hard, but made too many sweet things.
Location: Blue Ridge Parkway. Floyd Country Store for Appalachian music and dancing.

Great place to stay that is different

Posted 5-Sep-2013
Pros: Friendly, hard working staff. Clean. Character, and the house was divinely set in private grounds by the river.
Location: Is a little away from the highway, but well worth the drive. We did not stay long enough, but a great place to either go on little hikes or sit...
Yes, the drive was a little off-putting, but when we arrived, it was well worth the drive. Couldn't fault the stay or the inn-keepers. We only stayed one night, but soon wished we could stay for longer. Great place to explore the surrounding woods; great place to mix with other patrons. One of our highlights of two weeks on the road.

The Inn was very well kept and presented very nicely. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was extremely welcoming and warm. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful B&B

Posted 10-Jun-2013
Pros: House, room, grounds, breakfast.
Cons: Too remote. Not very convenient for restaurants.
Location: 10 minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway
Beautiful B&B. It's a bit remote and restaurants for dinner are a 30 minute drive (minimum). But the house itself is wonderful. It sits on a creek and has chairs set up on the lawn for relaxing. The rooms are well equipped and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was a fabulous 4 course meal. Really nice!

Mike and Dora Jane could not have been more wonderful. Everything was perfect. The room we stayed in was lovely and having a view of the front was a great way to start the day. Breakfast was great, the selections were fantastic. I wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to a return trip. The roads leading into Woolwine were quite interesting and provided a great conversation starter with other guests at the Inn. We arrived in the evening and seeing the Inn at niight was breathtaking, and that was my same thought when seeing the Inn the next morning. Such a serene and calming location. Highly suggest to anyone.
