“Friendly lodging in Beautiful Front Royal”
The motel is located pretty much dead center in downtown Front Royal. For those of you planning on visiting the area, it is a rather small, sleepy community nestled by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenedoah River. For those of you going to a graduation at nearby Christendom College, hiking the local trails, or just exploring rural VA, this might be a relatively inexpensive place to stay. The place is clean and comfortable, and a quick drive to just about anywhere in the Front Royal area you might wish to go. The continental breakfast is a bit sparse to those used to grander fair, but it is complimentary and will break your hunger until later on in the day. Overall, I would recommend this Motel.
“Very pleasant stay”
For an older building, Cool Harbor was quite nice. The variety of items in the free breakfast was good. The location was very convenient - we were there to visit wineries, and Cool Harbor was just a few minutes from I-66. The room was a little musty, but it had windows on two sides, so a cooling breeze took care of that. There were some noisy people in the room next door, but a polite word quieted them down; I did not have to bother the front desk. The room was not thoroughly cleaned - there was a piece of food on the carpet under the table, indicating that the vacuuming was cursory at best. The towels were thin, but we were able to request extras, which took care of that. The shower was excellent - we like a strong, steady stream of hot water, and it was also high enough for a tall person to fit under it.
“Great Hotel”
We were very pleased with the hotel. It was extremely clean and had all of the amenities we were seeking with the exception of internet which we were unable to get. But, there was a computer in the lobby that we were able to log on to. It was just a little inconvenient and so, we decided to pack up our computer and just spend out time together. The staff was very friendly. It was an added bonus to find a very clean washer and dryer on site, as we were visiting our son who attends school in the area and had his laundry to do.
“Outstanding Value”
This hotel was an older hotel, but it was clean, the air conditioner worked, the pool was great and the price was outstanding for everything that it offered.

Older style hotel away from town on a busy highway. Our room was at the rear so no issue with noise. Apparently carpets had just been cleaned but still an unpleasent odour. Hotel appeared comparable with others in area. You definately need a car to get to town.A few restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly. Must visit Luray Caverns and good access to Skyline Drive

the bed was half a step above a board of plywood. very uncomfortable. we left in the middle of the night to drive home because we weren't able to get to sleep. As a result we missed out on their unadvertised continental breakfast.

The motel is in a good location and the exterior, lobby and pool were all nice but the rooms are really shabby. We are not high maintance people at ALL when it comes to hotels but the carpet was filthy and there was a cigarette hole burned into the pillow case. It was definitely one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in a long time which was pretty surprising considering all the postive reviews online.
