Great hotel in a good location!

You will get more than you expect for the price. It is one of the more affordable hotels in the area & is in close proximity to great dining and Wrightsville beach! The breakfast that's included is great too.

Just ok.

First floor smelled like wet dog. Bed was too soft. Don't leave valuables in your room......trust me on this one. The breakfast was good and hospitality nights (all you care to eat pizza) on Tuesday and Thursday was cool. Indoor pool and exercise facility were nice. Check in and check out was a breeze. Didn't like the fact that we were placed in a handicap room. I think this is a common practice when you use Expedia to book your room.

Everything good but the bed.

Pros: Most things.
Cons: New beds.
Location: Location fine.
Great location, nice staff. Bad bed. Sank in the middle. You spend the most time in a hotel in the bed. Please have a nice one if you want to get decent reviews.

More than a hotel. It was like a home.

When we arrived we were very impressed just by the appearance. We had a hard time finding it because it has a lot of trees in front of it, but a staff member lead us right to it. The lobby was elegant and the room was modern beyond my expectation for the price we paid. Clean, comfortable bed. No signs of anyone ever using the room. The pool and hot tub was a highlight for me and the children. We enjoyed the complimentary pizza, soda/beer on Thursday night and having a patio to eat outside. The breakfast was delicious and the staff kept it well stocked and would find anything you needed. They even extended the time for late comers. It is close to the beach and downtown Wilmington. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would love to go back again.

Good location. Watch for double-billing.

Posted 11-Apr-2015
Pros: It was truly unspectacular.
Cons: The mattress was pitiful. The second credit card charge is unforgivable.
Location: It's between Wilmington downtown and Wrightsville Beach (but there are other options).
The bed was spongy. The TV was poorly positioned. Although the room was prepaid through Expedia, the two night rental was also billed (and for less than Expedia!) to a card presented at check-in for incidentals (that were never utilized). Several calls and days later, the charge remains. The hotel staff seemed embarrassed, but they were not apologetic, and I'm filing a formal complaint with Visa about the 2nd credit card charge today. I would not stay there again.

Above average

This was an above average experience for the price I paid. Housekeeping was a disappointment as my room was only cleaned once during a 3 night stay. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

perfect getaway!!

Took a little vacation to the Wilmington area, and had a wonderful time. The hotel was a top pick. It was very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. The suite had a kitchen area with everything you need to cook a good meal. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway. The price was also amazing for everything you get. They even had free pizza beer and drink one nite. Loved it!!

My wife and I decided to attend a Marriage Retreat held at a resort in Wrightsville Beach over the Valentine's Day weekend. We could have stayed at the resort itself but decided to check out some other hotels in the area. Having looked at a bunch of other options, just the look of this place won us over. Everything from the rooms to the common areas looked very clean and inviting. WE WERE NOT DECEIVED OR DISAPPOINTED! Thanx!

Disappointed b/c of high reviews; great cust. svc.

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: Cust. Service was outstanding. Location was perfect for us (close to beach and restaurants!) Room amenities were great as was hot coffee!
Cons: Helping showers get hotter faster. More improved, fresher tasting breakfast. ensuring workers check hot tub/pool regularly to foresee breakdowns.
Location: Great location! Really close to beach and restuarants!
My wife and I spent our Valentine's weekend in this hotel and were super excited about the overwhelming reviews (great price and great reviews are hard to come by). This hotel met some, but not all, of our already high expectations. PROS: First of all, the service was fantastic; the first young lady that helped us that sunday was very pleasant and friendly, and even called our room to make sure everything was ok. Wow! Joe was awesome (smiling too!); overall customer service was fantastic. My wife loved the soft, comfy bed but I had a hard time sleeping b/c I prefer firm (plus it was queen sized, and slumped in the middle). The room was pleasant and quaint and the features were cool (loved the kitchenette, dishwasher, etc.!). Plus the free coffee was outstanding! Nice gym too! CONS: Let me first say that Joe really tried to get this issue fixed and was apologetic. The jacuzzi and pool were cold b/c of a part that needed fixed, although they didn't share this with me when I asked if the hot tub was experiencing any problems before my wife and I arrived. We were SO looking frwd to it! But I will say when I complained after our stay, Megan (asst mgr) took the time to listen to our concerns, apologized, and took care of us accordingly. Awesome job! Also, the breakfast was just 'ok'; suggest a waffle maker instead of pancake maker. The brkfst area was surprisingly small, as were the rooms, but not a deal breaker. Plus the shower takes a long time to heat up.
