“Great Place to Stay at Carolina Beach!”

The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere is professional and friendly. You can walk to the beach in minutes and they have a quaint pub on site with excellent food and spirits. I will definitely stay there again!

“Good value but bring silverware”

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, which was clean and spacious with its own foosball table. The kitchen was large, but lacking in silverware - we had 15 plates but only 2 forks and 1 spoon and the front desk could not supply more. The room was clean and well maintained. Some rooms at the hotel allow smoking, so some pillows smelled faintly of smoke. The location is great and there is a restaurant/bar across the parking lot. Overall a fantastic deal for the money.

“Drifters Reef”

Nice place. A little small but cozy and close to everything. Nice value for the money.

“Didn't do it for me”

This place was probably pretty nice once. Unfortunately, it was probably at least 10 years ago. It looked like it just hasn't been kept up. My room needed a makeover badly - carpet, paint, fixtures, curtains - pretty much everything. The towels were awful, I had to ask for an iron, and the pillows weren't very comfortable. I would NEVER stay there with my family, and only in a pinch myself.

my wife and i travel to wilmington and carolina beach once a month or so. this motel looked appealing from the outside. the woman at the desk in the lobby (if you could call it a lobby) said it had been renovated about a year ago. definitely looks like it had been by the outside, but only the outside. we got into the room and yea...no refrigerator and pretty much an empty room with a bed, microwave, tv, and table and chair that looks like you might break it if you sat at it. the motel was so cheap that they only had bar soap...no 50 cent shampoo bottles or conditioner. the towels were smaller than the screen on the tv in the room. my wife is pregnant and she didnt sleep at all on the bed that night because it might have been a couple inches thick (thats generous). in a room with a "king sized" bed, apparently they only give you three pillows that have probably been there since the cold war. i had to give my wife two and i folded mine in half just to be somewhat comfortable. there should be another category besides "hotel" and "motel" because this one would definitely be in that. this place was so cheap, some of the drywall in the room had unpainted spackle on it....THE ABSOLUTE WORST STAY EVER. DO NOT GO TO THIS MOTEL.

“Not family friendly”

This is not a place for families. This hotel adjoins an outdoor bar which stays open til midnight. If you would like to lay in your bed with door & window closed to your room & still be able to follow the words in the song - this is the place for you! There is no parking available for customers - thanks to the bar patrons! Also we had no towels, no working tv remote control & a fire alarm that began beeping at 1AM (needing a new battery). This beeping woke up all the kids!! The staff was very friendly & courteous ( that is why they received the high score).
