Cheap for a reason.
This place is old and not taken care of. The bathroom was falling apart. The plug at the sink was unusable. There was a gap under the front door at least an inch wide. There was mold on the shower curtain. They advertise breakfast included but they do not have any form of breakfast.

Better to raze and rebuild
Although there was evidence of attempts at cleanliness and renovation this property is past it's prime and it shows throughout. The price is cheap but I still don't want to pay for another night here.

Good value
Room was clean, HVAC, TV, water all worked well. Some remodeling done but overall room condition average. Sink stopper didn’t work but not a big issue. Mattress old and lumpy. Some musty smell in the room, no signs of mold, smell dissipated after HVAC used. This was better than expected for the money. A good value.

Close to the theme park. Stayed 2 nights. For the price it was fine.They could buy pillows ,there's are little and flat.Wish it had at least a grab and go breakfast but,it has none. Wish they cleaned the room the one time but,they just offer towels etc. The sheets were crisp and clean but,had a cigarette burn hole.The room smelled clean.The vinyl plank floor was clean. A 1 night stay would be fine. Safe area and quiet.

One night on the road.
The room, bed, and everything in general was fine. The newer laminated flooring needed mopping, because bare footed or in socks, you feel the grit and sand on the floor. Overall the room was fine, just more efficient effort needed in cleaning the floor. Heat/AC , TV, and lighting was great.

Decent for Econo Lodge!
As far as Econo Lodges go, this was pretty decent! For the price, you can't expect too much, and the room was extremely basic. However, check in was very efficient and the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again for a budget trip and proximity to Williamsburg center.

Very rude and would not let us stay with a pet for which I would have paid extra for and cleaned up any possible mess she would have made, plus the room had water standing in the floor in front of the refrigerator

Very good for the price. The property is older and dated, but it was very clean, quiet, and quite convenient to Colonial Williamsburg. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I don't know if I'm more disappointed in the property itself, or Expedia for allowing such a hell-hole to be listed in the first place. I wish I could give this place negative stars. This stay was by far the worst experience I've had in my life. We travelled from New Jersey to visit Busch Gardens for the day and needed a place to stay. Little did we know what we would encounter at EconoLodge Williamsburg. As soon as you opened the door to enter the room you were greeted with a disgusting smell of MOLD, the ceiling looked like it had a major leak and was just painted over to cover up, one the plugs had short circuited and there was evidence of burn marks on the casing, the charging dock looked like it had never ever been cleaned and was sticky, the ‘clean’ bed had a variety stain marks, along with hairs from various parts of the body, not to mention the burn marks from cigarettes. It was truly a NIGHTMARE. We thought to ourselves ok we’ll just shower and sleep for a bit and check out first thing in the morning (keep in mind it was well past midnight by this point), that’s where it gets even worse. The bathtub was clogged up and the shower was leaking, all the dirt you wanted to wash off your body would literally fill up the basin, you ended up having a bath in what you wanted to remove from your body in the first place. We were DISGUSTED. Next morning, we went and spoke to the manager who had the audacity to tell us that we created the mess and did not even offer a refund

One of the most quiet I have ever stayed in. No street noise, or commode flushing nor shower running in another room Clean and I had everything in the room I was expecting. It could use some painting in the room, but for the price you can't beat it.

Easy check in and check out. Biggest issue was the smell. Cleaning product smell but seemed like it was covering up a worse smell, made my head hurt. The tv was set to one single channel, could not change the channel from Disney to anything else. Didn’t want to bother front desk with the issue, so dealt with it. Wi-Fi was not working at all, no service and we weren’t that far from the lobby. Overall, not really worth the $112 a night.

My biggest concerns with this hotel was the dirtiness of the room. The floors were filthy. I walked from the bathroom to the bed and my feet were filthy. The wash cloths and towels looked as if they had been used already. I had to go to the front office to request cleaner wash cloths and towels. They were cordial and polite when I asked for the cleaner washcloths but I should not have to ask. In addition, there was some sort of cigarette burn in the blanket on my bed.

Property was pretty clean, but I’m a person that cleans again when checking into any hotel. The check in was quick and easy about 5 minutes to check in. I trust no one with their sheets or towels; always travel with my own. Very quiet didn’t even hear neighbors if I even had any. Only stayed 1 night, but had no problems

I liked that it was inexpensive and close to the amusement park. The guy at the desk was very nice and helpful. The room was cleaner than I had expected. The water pressure was perfect and the shower head was awesome. I did not like the blanket was dirty , the bottom wall trim was peeling and the bathroom was tiny. Also when you turned on the light, there was a loud aggravating noise from the fan. The bed was not good at all. There was no breakfast, although they had a dining room and a breakfast sign on the door. I don’t really eat breakfast at hotels, but don’t have a sigh saying breakfast for those who do. Would I go back? I doubt it. Would I recommend it? If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a night, sure. Just remember it’s a no frills spot.
