“Perfect location”
Great place to stay if you want a quieter place than Interlocken. Plus they give you a free ticket to take the train to Interlocken; otherwise it's only a 10 minute drive and you can park at the train station. Great breakfast and nice rooms.

“The highlight of a wonderful trip”
This was what we thought Europe was going to be. Old world hotel with outstanding service. The staff was great and the location was perfect. We would surely recommend this hotel and will come back ourselves for an extended stay next year.

“Great base for walkers”
A wonderful hotel full of character and charm. Station is 10 mins walk and the bus 1 minute down the road. The station gives you trains to Schynigge Platte, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen (and Junfraujoch) and of course Interlaken. Rooms were cosy, breakfast yummy, and evening meals in the restaurants were a treat. It was also great that it is not just tourists who get there and you can me some of the locals! It was a delight to stay there for a week.
“The restaurant was the best. Very quiet location.”
This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walking from the Wilderswil train station. The bus runs almost to the door from the OST train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel lacks an elevator so they carried our luggage up to the room. Breakfast was good. The restaurant was the best. Loved the combine bar and dining area. Best mixed salad in Switzerland. Ask for Andy to serve you. He had great recommendations on where to go and what to see. We will always remember The Bear Inn as a great place.
“Much Better Than Interlaken”
The Hotel Baeren is a great place to stay in a very nice town off the beaten path. It has easy access to all the mountain locations, the staff is super friendly, the food is good and it is not overrun with tourists like Interlaken. Breakfast is good. We would definitely stay there again.
“Lovely hotel.”
A welcoming hotel in a quiet area away from the centre of Interlaken. The room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was continental with bread, cold meat and cheese as well as cereals etc. The service was great and staff were always helpful. There is a childrens in door play area through the door at the far side of the breakfast area which we didn't find until our last day. The only downside was that the room only had a shower no bath - ok for a three year old but not so great for younger children. Overall a lovel hotel and I would stay again.
“Pleasant hotel”
Clean, pleasant hotel. Restaurant was quite good with friendly, helpful waitstaff. We had planned otherwise, but we ended up eating there two nights. No elevator which was challenging with elderly traveller, but we managed. Nice sitting room.
“A very comfortable stay”
We were well looked after. The main restaurant food was excellent. Staff were courteous, attentive and helped willing to advise on trips etc.
