“The Cara Guesthouse”

Very warm, friendly guest house. It was clean and we slept well, Great breakfast . We had room 10. on the sea front. An extra-family room with a wash basin, one queen bed, a double bed and two singles. This was ideal for my children and myself. Very good rates for what we required. . We normally stay in travelodges, but the friendly service has ensured we will go back to The Cara. The shared bathroom, which was upstairs would not put us off. It would have been nice to have ensuite. However, even with the guesthouse at full capacity, we seemed to be the only ones using it. Maybe other rooms had there own facilities? I would recommend staying here and will definately return. I was given a parking permit for Whitley Bay town with the room keys. We had WiFi and a TV. I would recommend telephoning The Cara Guesthouse before you arrive. My expedia booking took a while to go through, so the phonecall confirmed my booking and ensured the room was prepared for that night. GREAT Thanks to Carol; the full English breakfast was the best. “Not suitable for families”

The room we booked looked nothing like the pictures. Didn't stay left after 30 mins and booked in travel lodge. Not suitable for a family didn't have ensuite in the room which we thought we had and there were stains on the bedding.
