“The Best Of The Best”

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've every been if. The holiday decorations on site and everywhere are spectacular.

Area recommendations

If you want to be right in the middle of the shopping area, then stay in Whistler Village. The Fairmont Chateau was a good ten minute walk from town. Very safe, yet need to be careful after dark because the walkways can be slippery.

When to go

Go in early December before it gets too crowded with skiers.

Getting there

There's a bus that goes several times a day from the airport right to your hotel in Whistler.

Outdoors or beach

We took the Gondola to the top of the mountain, then went between the mountains: the pass you purchase is the "peak to peak" ticket. Incredible views of skiers and mountains. Try to get the silver Gondola when you go between the peaks; it has a see-through bottom. Also, we did an evening sleigh ride. Very nice; very beautiful.

“Perfect Ski Getaway”

Whistler is an awesome place to ski and the Fairmont is nicely tucked in Upper Village, away from the noise of the young party scene. Romantic walk to the village, stellar service throughout the hotel - from the bar to the concierge to the ski valet. Definitely will be back!

Upper village - it's close enough to the great restaurants, but quiet and not overrun by the transient ski crowd.

“Amazing hotel!”

Great location, great service. Very helpful staff. Really fun hot tub area-a must after snowboarding/skiing. Would definitely recommend!

“Great Experience”

Every single person we met was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we drove up to the moment we drove away. 4 hot tubs, spa, gym, concierge ski service, valets, and the best cocktails we've had in British Columbia. Ironically, the room was the least expensive thing we paid for, and the incidentals did add up quite quickly- personally, I don't like being nickel-and-dimed for things like parking, etc. Fortunately that wasn't enough to diminish a fantastic weekend.

“Great Place to Stay in Whistler”

“Love it there...visit a couple times a year!!”

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a lovely hotel...the room we had may have been small but had so much character!! LOVED it...the view of the mountains was just awesome...and the gym...was great too! We did not use the pool but have many times before...all in all the Chateau Whistler is an awesome place to pamper yourself!!
