Excellent hotel staff!

Posted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: Great staff and wonderful amenities.
Cons: The rooms are newly renovated, so not much was left in need of improvement!
Our stay at the Delta was fabulous. The newly renovated rooms were amazing and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was welcoming and very helpful! Alexander at reception was wonderful and helped us find places to eat or things to do in the area that were fun and fit our budget. Thank you!

Great place for a holiday

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Very comfy beds, had a couple of late nights and no one complained. Only negative is no smoking in patio and if you closed patio door while you where outside it would lock

Terrible Room in the Second tower. Room 2302

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: It was in a good location.
Cons: Cleaner, updated rooms. Better service. Privacy curtains. House keepers not slamming doors all morning.
This room was not renovated, and felt 'old' and sort of smelled of it. It was super small, lacked privacy as there was not another curtain other than the black out blinds. It faced the front of the hotel where there was lots of traffic coming in and out of the hotel at all hours. You can hear all the talking and drunk people coming in at all hours. Worst of all, the housekeepers supply room was at the end of the hall here, and there would slamming of doors at least 30 times an hour in the morning. This is no exaggeration. When I told the receptionist at check out, she said I was the first person to ever complain about this. Housekeeping took forever to come around to clean our room. When we did return to our room in the evening, we were only provided with one bath towel. It took 3 phone calls, and 30 minutes later for them to bring us up an extra towel. I would not recommend this place to anyone. However, the rooms in the other tower were newly renovated and very comfortable as we had friends who had a room in that tower. So be warned....noisy, old, small rooms, bad service, no privacy, and no compensations were given at check out when the complaints were made.

We are sorry to read that you had an upsetting experience while in Whistler. We are due to have the remainder of our hotel completely by winter 2014 and are very excited for this process to be nearing completion. We will be sure follow up with our team regarding the communication issues and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Hopefully we can see you again in the future and have the opportunity to welcome you back.

Great access to village

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Fun and complete. The family enjoyed the pool and big room. Nice hotel and people working for the Delta as well as guests staying there. We would stay there again and again for the right price and availability. We like the easy access to the village and library

Delta Whistler Village-nice but noisy

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff, reasonable price
Cons: Appliances, better soundproofing on windows, fix the exercise equipment.
Stayed in a 3rd floor suite at the Delta Whistler Village in August 2014. It happened to coincide with the Crankworks festival. As an avid MTB rider, it was fun to watch the events and see the range of incredible downhill riders. However, the festival also drew a rowdy night crowd and unfortunately, our 3rd floor unit was quite close to the bars which raged on until 2AM with the warm nights, followed by another hour of loud conversations in the walkways below. The rooms are not well insulated against noise and even with earplugs, my wife and I had trouble getting to sleep. While the front desk told us that our suite was "recently renovated", the rooms had a range of conditions that showed spotty quality (dented, tilting refrigerator, banged up doors, broken parts on dishwasher, bathroom faucet that only trickled)... Also, the exercise equipment in the very small workout room was broken, and they were missing a few dumbbells. However, the location of the Delta suites was quite convenient for all of the village amenities, and parking was pretty convenient in the basement. Overall, I'd give this place a B=/C- grade. If I were to stay here again, it would only be in a top floor unit, away from the street noise.

Dear Mike, Thank you very much for visiting Whistler and choosing to stay with us over Crankworks. It is unfortunate that a few individuals cannot be respectful of the noise levels when walking through the village. From our end we had security patrolling our grounds and tried our best to be proactive in any noise situations. I am surprised to read that you did not enjoy our newly renovated MODE rooms. They are brand new, but you are correct the appliance replacement is being phased in as they are just so darn expensive. I don't love the grade but pleased to read that you will be back as I know we can exceed your expectations. Hope to see you again soon.

Nice Hotel in Whistler Village

Posted 19-Aug-2014
I had a great stay and it was too short; would have stayed longer if not for getting back to work. The room; lobby, and Health Club were all really enjoyable places to be. The Front Desk and Concierge staff were very helpful and professional; I was upgraded to a suite which was beautiful. I used to be a night manager at a Delta property many years ago and would definitely book-into this hotel again.

Right in the village close to everything

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Pros: Staff/service
Location: Shopping,bars and restaurants
This hotel was recommended by a friend and we could not have been more pleased. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A tip for summer would be not to take a room overlooking the shops and bars due to noise late at night. We will definitely look for space at this property the next time we are in Whistler.

Thank you so much for your feedback and I am sorry you were disturbed by the noise from the village stroll. It is unfortunate that some patrons can not be respectful of the hour. I love to read that you will be back and I expect to see you next summer if not sooner.

Fair hotel. NOT great value for the money

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: LOCATION ONLY
Cons: Better sound control and more AC
Location: lots to do at Whistler
Very noisy and too much road noise in the early morning.
