“Kin bed is actually two single beds pushed together in the standard room”
Delta advised us that the option through expedia for a king bed in a standard room does not exists, only two singles pushed together. We were complaining as the bed was really uncomfortable to sleep on, as the seam and edge of both mattresses met right in the middle of the bed. Maybe Expedia should note this or take of the available options.
“Very central”
Very pleasant place. Nice staff and great mountain view.
“We will keep going back to Delta”
Our suite was spacious and the staff was great. Pool and hot hub are great, and the location is perfect. The only real complaint might be the cost of parking, but most places in Whistler seem to charge comparable amounts for parking. We've gone here before and will go again. When you're checking out, you can return your key, and get another for access to the pool, hot tub, and parking until 6PM.
“Whistler weekend at the Delta was excellent”
Great room - one bedroom suite, with a king size bed. The Delta is conveniently located in the middle of Whistler village, within easy walking to the various restaurants and events.
“nice hotel but find parking elsewhere”
This is a good place to stay if you are going to use the kitchen. There is no room service and only a cook your own breakfast option for anything more substantial than a continental. Staff are friendly, hot tub/pool area is nice. Arrange parking elsewhere or add another $25 per night to the bill.
“Would not stay there again.”
The elevator for the 2nd building (where our room was located) was behind the Elephant & Castle Pub/restaurant, and it seemed like it was at a back alley. A few times I could smell garbage as well, not very inviting for guests. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud. It was too loud to sleep if left on but too hot to sleep without. We had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it on and off. The kitchen was not as “fully” equipped as described, there was not even a pair of scissors or steak knives. There was no cooking oil, ketchup, mustard, and may be even a simple spice rack. I never expected a gourmet kitchen in the hotel room, but these are basics for a standard kitchen. Most of the hotel guests like myself are from out of town and we don’t carry cooking oil or ketchup in our luggage. The stainless steels pots and pans are also a pain to use because the food just sticks and burns. The dishwasher just doesn’t clean them properly, leaving crusts and stains. The water pressure in the shower was weak. The TV reception/connection in the bedroom is very bad, especially for watching a hockey game or movie. The room overall was just not satisfactory. Also, the housekeeping staffs were knocking on the doors wanting to come in and clean the room while we are still cooking breakfast. I understand that the housekeeping staffs were doing their jobs, but when the hotel offers kitchen in the rooms, you can expect guests to stay in their rooms till later in the day.
“It was OK if.....”
The week-end we checked in happened to be a Canadian holiday and there was a rowdy group staying on the floor we were in and conversed in loud voices in the hall way into late night making us difficult to sleep. Even a low sound in the hall way came through the door into the room. The rest of the say was satisfactory. The staff at the from desk and bell captain desk were very helpful and nice.
“Great Suites and Location!”
We arrived early and had to wait to check in. Nice reception area with a fire so we sat there for 30 minutes which was fine. We had the one bedroom suite and it is a little small but has everything you need. If you keep organized it is fine. Had some trouble with the fridge but when we finally got around to reporting it they actioned the request that day and replaced the fridge. Great to have dishwasher, washer and dryer in the room. The lounge has a gas fire but we didn't use it. Nice little table to eat at with 4 chairs. Oven, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster etc etc. Well stocked. Easy walk to the lifts but after the first day we used the complimentary shuttle to the lifts and then back again in the afternoon. Great friendly Aussie drivers and we never had to wait more than 10 mins. Great pickup in the afternoon as you ski to the road and just walk to the other side of the road....easy and convenient. Also great ski and snowboard storage on the ground floor which was also complimentary. Convenient safe parking underground cost of $26 per day...we never touched the car while there. We opted for internet access cost of $30 for 5 days. We chose Delta Suites due to it being close to the Daycare facility (not ski school just full or half day daycare - Teddy Bear I think it is called). A nice quick walk through the village for my young daughter. Have a pool and hot tub but we didn't use it. LOVED Whistler Village. AWESOME place can't wait to go back when the budget allows :-)
“Awesome staff!!”
Everything about this hotel was great ! location ,rooms, and especially the friendly and helpful staff,my dogs loved it as well , as there were treated like family ,enjoyed their treats when ever we returned to the hotel and we appreciated the dog bags. Thanks to everyone at Delta Inn & suites ,you made our first stay at whistler fantastic!!
“winter ski vacation”
My stay at the Delta was better than I expected. I knew it was not a ski in ski out hotel but its close enough to the mountain it didn't bother me. I ski'd 4 days of my vacation & the hotel was an easy 10min or less walk to whislter base. They offer a shuttle but I enjoyed the walk through the villiage. The room was a good size & had everything I needed in the kitchen. Staff was friendly & the bar downstairs had a great happy hour deal for after a day on the slopes. I also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. They have an indoor option also but I loved sitting in the hot tub surrounded by the snow.I would return again & reccomend to others.
