Long weekend getaway - BC Day August 2019
Lake Placid Lodge, Unit 226. Superb location, great pool / hot tub and bbq area. Other amenities close by e.g. Grocery, liquor store, coffee shop, eateries and restaurants as well a few lakes with parks all within easy walking distance. Great maintenance person who came to re-set WiFi after we called the 'desk' after our later evening arrival. He was very helpful and professional. Disappointed as found coffee maker with dirty filter and used grounds as well as dirty dishes in the cupboard on our first morning. Quickly found the reason was dishwasher spray arm was broken but we managed to repair same. Unit could use some refreshing, the cupboards were very tired and original hardware was very worn/loose. Fridge was newer but very small compared to space it occupied. Painting around a mirror rather than removing and doing proper job gave an unprofessional 'look' to that wall. Overall a great complex with great amenities and super location. Having stayed in various units at Lake Placid Lodge over the years, must admit this unit was not up to the 'standard' we have come to expect.

We loved the pool and outside BBQ! It was close to beautiful creekside shops, a supermarket, liquor store and gourmet dinning options.
