Did not expect such nice rooms for a buckhannon hotel. Went to school here 20 years ago and wish this was here then. Will definitely stay here again if I come back.

The TV system was the worst I have ever seen. I could not get the TV to display network channels. Finally had to ask the desk clerk to come to the room and find the channels and even she had troubles finding local channels. The toilet leak around the front on the floor and the sink leaked, I have stayed in Best Westerns for years and this was the worst stay I have ever had. Also breakfast was the same every day.

Staff was super, but very cigarette dependent. They kept the property clean and neat. Easy on and off the highway. Tiny town. The room was clean and very small, but adequate. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 9:30 and I got there before 9 to find all that was available was biscuits and gravy. Tasty, but not what I expected. All in all, I'd say it's a good safe option.

I’d stay again…
TV did not work. Staff was very prompt in checking out the issue but could not figure out the problem either. Beds are comfortable, hotel is clean for the most part. Breakfast is good, but wish there was a little more selection but definitely not bad. Overall a good stay.

Reserved a 2 queen room and was not given desired room. Only given a 1 queen room because “it was all they had.” I RESERVED the room… so my choice should be reserved in my name. Not given to another. Bed is like cardboard Customer service lacks. Will not be staying w/best western brand again.

This place was like a bar. They had my room right next to the lobby and the doors are not sound proof. There were people playing cards and laughing and yelling up till at least 3 AM. Even with ear plugs in, I got no sleep.

This hotel was tired. Room was very spare with an entire wall of mirrors and fake plants in halls and lobby that had years of dust on them. Beds were clean and tidy and so was the bathroom. Floors were vinyl instead of carpet which seemed a good idea. Breakfast was slim pickings and coffee in thermos dispensers which didn’t taste fresh at all. Front desk staff was pleasant.

I didnt request an ADA room at first but when i registered they said there wasnt one available or since i didnt request one at first, I couldn't get one then. I was 3 doors down and never saw it used. There was no room cleaning for the 3 days i was there. The television was horrible. But, breakfast was good, Staff was friendly, room clean, property was clean.

Disappointing Service
Facilities were adequate and as expected. We were there on Saturday night over Memorial Day weekend and arrived around 8pm or so. We had two rooms, one room was not available until 830pm or so and the other was not ready until 10pm. The single housekeeper was working as hard and as fast as she could (literally sweating), but for whatever reason the rooms were not ready even at the late hour. I'm not sure the situation that caused this, whether it was staffing call outs or no shows, but it did make for an unpleasant arrival and checkin. The front desk staff were clearly flustered, but made no efforts to offer anything other than we understand your frustration apologies. Hopefully this was a unique situation that gets addressed and corrected in the future.

Horrible management
I am appalled by the lack of responsibility here. We checked in at 7:30pm only to be told that they didn’t have a clean room ready for us and were told to wait 15 minutes. 15 minutes was really an hour and a half which caused us to miss our dinner reservation. The concierge said she was cleaning our room and she was almost done…only to say that they were going to clean a room upstairs for us. After waiting 90 minutes for our room, they tried to get us to book a single room instead of the double I paid for. Was this room not cleaned an hour ago?? Then we were told our room was cleaned and they ended up giving us the room that was cleaned over an hour ago…so why did they make us wait the extra 30 minutes for some other room?? This was absolutely horrible and I will never stay here again. Not to mention, this was 7:30pm!!! No excuses! They had a line out the door with other checkins. They were not prepared at all and did not give any sort of complimentary beverage or discount for our long wait.

Great Pet Friendly property
Great pet friendly property. Great staff. Clean lobby and good basic breakfast. Mattress will probably need to be switched out soon. Overall a great stay!

My room was too close to the elevator so the dings were annoying. Best solution was the bathroom exhaust fan on a separate switch from the light, so that was great white noise!
