Exceptionally clean room; comfortable bed; very satisfactory and easy to use air conditioner
Could hear people in adjoining room through locked doors used to travel between our rooms for guests wanting access to adjoining room without going out into hallway (was not too loud, though).
Loose parts in shower water temp control handle assembly and shower head. Did not keep me from enjoying my stay, but showed lack of quality control inspection upon completion of building process by contractor and designated Red Roof Inn inspector.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfy, rooms relatively quiet, staff unobtrusive but helpful. Only real ding was my wife could not take a bath. Apparently this is a trend among some hotel chains, the tubs do not hold water. They are fitted with drains, I suppose to prevent idiots from causing damage. For us, it will likely mean not staying at this property in the future. But if that is not an issue for you, it is otherwise a good value.
"Excellent location for downtown/Westchase/Bellaire"
Me and my girlfriend stayed here to visit her family and to enjoy my old hometown. It was very close to Downtown and is located in the Westchase district, so visiting Chinatown was easy while avoiding major Houston traffic. I will definitely stay here again if the situation arises later.
A municipal management district, Westchase was first established in 1995 and is home to over 1,500 businesses, including major employers such as Chevron, Dow Chemical, BMC Software, and Jacobs Engineering.
