"Excellent hotel, highly recommended"
Outstanding excellent hotel, excellent friendly staff at desk, bar and dining room. Request a room in the older Bronte wing for superior rooms close to elevator, though you may have to pay a surcharge for them. I also went to the nearby Health Club with swim pool, hot wet and dry rooms, jacuzzi and exercise room- for which the hotel gets you a day pass for nominal 5 UK pounds charge. Great peaceful hotel, close to but not in everything, and very reasonable price. I highly recommend.

"Truly stunning - didn't want to leave!"
We booked the hotel as a special treat for my husband's birthday. We stayed in one of the hotel's superior rooms, and it was just stunning. Classic FM was playing on the retro radio, Whittards-style mugs were perched on a tray on the window sill, the bathroom contained the most gorgeous free-standing bathtub, and the furnishings and contrasting colours of the room were exquisite - turquoise and cerise. There was even an outside patio complete with table and chairs, where we sat before the rain came along. The staff were friendly, and the country-inn feel of the place was wonderful. Breakfast, which was included in the room price, was equally amazing and wide-ranging (home-made muesli, poached eggs, kippers and the like), served by a friendly Scotsman. The check in and check out times were also reasonable - check in after 2pm and check out by 11am. All in all, a very special and memorable experience.

"Spot on"
Great location close to city / town, with a rural ambience. Front desk staff a little aloof and disengaged but still great service. Evening meal (room service) and full English breakfast were both excellent.

"Heritage Serviced Suites--quite good, could be better"
The good: 1. Attractive modern room in converted mill with high wood beam ceilings and spectacular view over the town. 2. Studio has kitchen corner with sink, microwave, fridge, toaster, crockery, utensils, and wash-up liquid. 3. Powerful shower with hot water. In Britain and Europe these things cannot be taken for granted. The bad: 1. My studio was NEVER serviced during my 7 night stay. Nor was it pristine when I arrived (chewing gum, old box). You are supposed to ring for service but there are no phones provided in the rooms. 2. No table to work at or eat off. 3. Noisy neighbors talking at night in corridor. 4. Latch key system stops you locking yourself out but adds to the noise level. Doors have no restraints, and tend to bang on opening or closing. You hear your neighbors coming and going. All this said, I would consider staying here again, partly because of the lack of acceptable alternatives in the Huddersfield area. Summary: quite good, good be better
