“A good place to relax between flights.”
This is a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere, close to Gatwick but far enough away for peace and quiet. It was a good place to unwind while waiting for our flight home. Our only complaint - very expensive food. Even though there were 2 restaurants and a pub, and the food was good, all were overpriced. Be warned, full breakfast buffet was 16 UK lbs.
“Good place to stay for early morning flight departure”
The desk clerk's first language was not English, and it was difficult to understand what he was telling me. However, he was friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Restaurant service was excellent. Remember to get the clerk to validate your parking lot ticket before you leave.
“Great Location”
I travel to England to visit relatives almost every year. The Gatwick Copthorne Hotel is a wonderful location to spend my final night in the UK before traveling back to the US. It is far enough from the airport to make the night comfortable, without the noise of the airport disturbing a much needed night of sleep before a day of travel. It offers a shuttle service to the airport for a nominal fee, and even includes a departures screen in the lobby to let you know which terminal (north or south) you need to catch your flight. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. In conclusion, I have used this hotel for years, and will continue to do so in the future.
“Copthorne Hotel - Gatwick”
The hotel was very beautiful, very reasonable offer for the night. The customer service was excellent. The only negative thing I have to say is that Breakfast is extremly expensive.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over 25 years.
“Impressed, but...”
I and members of my family have stayed at the Copthorne a dozen times or more: the hotel and its amenities are more than satisfactory, although there us an element of 'nickel & diming@ with a separate charge for anything beyond the bed itself. A better reservation system for the early morning bus to the airport terminal would also take some of the disorder from that transition. Notwithstanding those comments, I will be staying there in the future!

A VERY nice hotel....close to Gatwick....expensive, though.
“Excellent choice and great value!”
I chose the Copthorne at Gatwick because it was almost half the price of comparable hotels in Central London. The hotel itself is in a beautiful location and has all the facilities you will need. There is frequent transport to Gatwick via the hotel shuttle (small charge applies). Onward travel into Central London is via the Gatwick Express and takes 35 minutes. All in all a great choice for either vacation or business.
“Great Stay”
Travelling alone as an invalid is not much fun but I had a great stay at the hotel. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist in any way they could. Room service was really good and efficient and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I will definitely go back.
“Hidden Gem”
It was suggested to us to find an "Airport Hotel" to go to the night before our flight home ,we stumbled across Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick and booked through Expedia . When we arrived , the buildings , gardens , and pretty much everything about the place took our breath away as it was not what we expected out of a airport hotel . I wish we would have booked it for more than 1 night.
