“Excellent value for money”
Service standards of the hotel are well above expectation. Quality of the hotel especially the setting of the hotel is excellent. The manager of the hotel made himself known to us to provide extra professional care. The Copthorne Effingham is a hotel we shall be going back to again and again. Travel from hotel to airport gives an excellant alternative rather than using a taxi and is more reasonable.

Enjoyable overnite stay at this hotel, clean and tidy, very prompt check in, pleasant staff, comfortable room and would stay here again if the opportunity arose.
“A pleasant hotel near Gatwick airport”
A few floor tiles are cracked in the bathroom that need replacing. Otherwise, the hotel is very comfortable for an overnight stay and leaving your car for a week if you are flying from Gatwick airport.
“Enjoyed our one night stay”
We stayed here on our way back from a lengthy trip and were to fly out of Gatwick the next day. We found the hotel to be lovely with a pleasant helpful staff. It was a hot June day and there was no air conditioning (stiffling hot) in the bar or restaurant so we did not eat there. The closest restaurant was a bit of a walk but not too bad. A fan in the room was a welcome addition.

A comfortable country hotel near Gatwick with shuttle service to and from the airport. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant, comfortable pub and a nine hole golf course to boot!

“The Perfect Place to Go to Relax!”
This hotel was wonderful! All of the good things out weigh any of the bad. Let me first point out one thing I had learned, it is that in most European hotels, the rooms are small and the beds are not very big or soft, but at this hotel the rooms were very nice in size and very comfortable. And it was a standard room. We got a very good price on the room through Expedia. We saved more than half the price of the room by going through them. The reception as well as all the staff were very nice and helpful with all of our questions and went above and beyond to help us. I would definantly go back, if I even go that way again! There were a few draw backs though. First off, we had to get a cab to get to the hotel because we couldn't find the shuttle service going to the hotel, but the shuttle was a wonderful thing when leaving the hotel. Fortunionately, the cab ride really wasn't very expensive. Another thing I did not like was that it was so far from town we had to get a cab to go anywhere. And apparently not all of the taxi drivers know of the place because twice, the driver took us to the wrong hotel. And my last dislike was that the restaurant and sports bar, although very nice and very good, were not cheap. The grounds around the hotel were beautiful and perfect for relaxing and pool was a wonderful if you enjoy going for a swim. Like I said before, all the good things out weigh the bad things by a long shot!

the hotel was lovely... definitely did not expect that... just experienced 2 problems... room was too hot... but easily solved by opening balcony door & tv did not work but didnt spend much time in the room

--wish i had more time to enjoy the grounds --need to mention it's different from it's sister hotel in copthorne (i went to the other one originally) --parking control in the first copthorne hotel extremely frustrating --wait staff at the copthorne effingham was cheerful and timely.
