Alexander’s Restaurant is renowned for its fabulous modern European cuisine, rare wines and vintage ports. Menus emphasise the goodness of fresh, natural foods carefully prepared and artistically presented, with much of their ingredients being selected from the local area. Guests are offered an extensive world class wine list featuring over 200 bins. The hotel has been awarded two AA rosettes for high standards of cuisine and has achieved the RAC level four dining award. Reflections offers guests relaxed dining in a sleek modern environment, overlooking a beautiful central courtyard, serving freshly prepared food. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering meals, to include classic favourites, light bites, salads and great vegetarian options. The restaurant comes complete with its own Champagne bar and funky interiors. Flames courtyard guests can dine alfresco throughout the summer and well into the crisp autumn months, when a log fire pit will be lit on colder evenings.

Spa
Arrive at Utopia Spa through a Gothic corridor with marble, granite and the sound of trickling water. The atmosphere is relaxed and spacious but welcoming and friendly. There are areas to be active and areas to be quiet and enjoy the tranquillity. The subterranean setting of the pools with their stone columns and domed ceilings are truly what a spa is all about – water and relaxation. Water treatments abound in the three pools, with unique features all waiting to be discovered for your enjoyment. Guests can relax in the changing suites, each with its own steam room, sauna and monsoon showers. Treatments are extensive and many unique to Utopia. Two persons treatment suites are available as well as a dedicated pedicure, manicure and hairdressing studio. The relaxation room opens onto the veranda and grand balustrade staircase down to the tranquil Spa Garden. Here the hot spa pool bubbles away and lounger’s invite guests to linger – this is true relaxation.

“Pamper Yourself”
This hotel is wonderful! I stayed in the new wing over the spa and the room was excellent, the staff was more than friendly and very helpful, and the food is great (we ate in both restaurants). The spa was very accomodating, squeezing in me in when I first arrived, and the treatment was very soothing. Great for someone who likes tranquility in an historic home in the countryside.

Great hotel, helpful staff. We were upgraded to one of the Master Suites as it was the first night of our honeymoon. Unfortunately our room service order was forgotten due to a mix up between the reception and kitchen but they gave us the food free and a couple of glasses of champagne too - you couldn't ask for anymore. Gorgeous grounds, great spa, very smart hotel and great location for Gatwick Airport - would definitely stay again.

Hotel and spa are very nice, room was well furnished and comfortable. We had a minor issue in the restaurant but it was resolved by the management without question.
“wonderful stay”
The service was superb and the rooms were amazing..My only critque is the dining room..the food was good but the decor was much too modern for the rest of the property and not inviting.
“Good small hotel”
The hotel was well located and easy to find. The staff were friendly and the room had nice decor and was comfortable. Our only problem was that the television did not work on some of the channels. I did report this and asked if it could be fixed by the evening when I returned but nothing had been done about it. I phoned reception 5 times to ask about it and there was no answer. My only other slight problem is that there was only 1 vegetarian meal on the menu, which doesn't exactly give you much choice - especially if you don't like risotto! Would I go back - yes - it is a lot better than other hotels that I have stayed in close to Gatwick airport.
