“Very tired hotel”

Our room was freezing when we checked in. No attempt was made to turn the heat on (March 1st) in advance of our arrival. The beds stayed ice cold well into the night. The hallway adjacent to our room and the indoor pool smelled of a mixture of chlorine and mould or mildew?. The obvious areas in our room (carpet and bathroom floor) appeared clean, but behind the furniture it looked like it had not been cleaned for a some time. The TV was so faded that some channels were impossible to view. The TV had seen its day many years ago. All table lamp bulbs were loosened in their sockets so that we had to stagger around in a dark to get the lights to work. The front door of the hotel apparently had a defective weather stripping so that a high and freezing wind in the morning resulted in the complete lobby and "so-called" breakfast area to be freezing cold, forcing our group (four rooms) to gather at a local cafe nearby for warmth over our coffee, One word, "Tired". One positive, the staff was pleasant.
