“Excellent”
Cannot fault this hotel.
“Very Good Value”
A standard US-style hotel [not 'Irish', or picturesque], but well priced, spacious and comfortable. Not within walking distance of anything interesting, and well away from the downtown. By car, from Dublin, you must traverse the city. Adequate parking lot. Convenient [by car] to the crystal factory. Two good restaurants. Best 'Irish breakfast' we had.
“Comfortable Hotel”
The hotel has large comfortable en-suite rooms with showers that really get you clean. The food is excellent, I can recommend the Viking Steak that is tender and delicious. Room service was quick and friendly. It will now be my hotel of choice in Waterford
“one night in waterford”
this was the best short break ive ever been on thanks to the amazing service and dedication of the staff at ramada viking hotel. we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was able to help us get our room cards and inform us of the restaurant and bar on the premises.after leaving our bags in our rooms we then head to get some food from the afore mentioned restaurant.the food was as good as anyone could ever want.the service was quick friendly and the food was just amazing.i highly recommend the mussels. after dinner we had a quick wash in possibly the best showers in the world!!i cannot stress how good this place is. later that night,approx 3am we arrived back from a nightclub and the night porter was also very helpful i getting us a taxi to another after party. overall,this is a perfect place to stay if your in waterford.
“A welcome slice of irish hospitality”
Very well appointed hotel - and really pleasant and helpful staff (which is, IMHO, really appreciated by those of us who have to stay away a lot!!). Although not in the centre of Waterford, the hotel is well placed to explore the area and with good food at reasonable prices well worth a go!!
“Welcoming stay.”
Very happy with our stay ath the Hotel - we would happily have stayed another night except we were making our way on to a wedding in Ireland the following day. Highly remcommended.
“Would go back, but a little too far from town.”
A group of us were spending a festival weekend in Waterford, and booked this hotel, as it was a reputable Ramada and the rates through expedia were excellent. Spent Friday and Saturday nights, but we were going to events in town both days/nights and it was a little too far to walk (we were told about 40 minutes). Taxis were around 12 euro each way, with 4 people travelling in the cab. The hotel was spotless, friendly & helpful staff, free access to a nearby gym, good bar-food etc. No real complaints, but next time I would consider a hotel with less walking distance to town, as although the rate we got was excellent, the extra few euros saved in taxi fares would allow one to walk more and pay for somewhere slightly more expensive.
“Usual very good Ramada experience”
Business trip, arrived late, had to leave just after breakfast. All very pleasant, clean and efficient. Excellent value for money. Recommended
“Very good hotel”
I've stayed in most other hotels in Waterford and this is probably the best of them all. It's clean, comfortable, the staff are great and the food is also good. When I go to Waterford it's to visit family, so I'm not looking for nightlife - if this is what you want, you would be better off staying in the city centre. The hotel's location is also good, as it's just next to the Ring Road.
“Very Comfortable but out of town”
This is a very clean and modern hotel on the outskirts of Waterford. It is only a two minute drive to the famous crystal factory. It is some miles from the center of town and you must either drive or take a cab into the center for dinner. On the whole, this is an excellent value. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a large breakfast bar which was more than adequate.
