“A fine hotel for a small town”

The property is well maintained all around. Staff is friendly. It's about 10 minutes' drive to downtown Waterbury. The swimming pool (indoor) is surprisingly nice, and I was the only one both times I swam. The only real complaint is the crappy old TV in my room.

“Ben and Jerry's... a stone's throw away!”

This hotel was in a great location... Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory right down the street. Two cute little towns (Waterbury and Stowe) nearby with neat restaurants and pubs. Also close to skiing and wonderful trails for snowshoeing. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, too!

The hotel accommodations, service and rate provided an excellent value. The additional value of a quality fitness room, indoor pool, hot tub/jacuzzi made for a great stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly both on check-in and check-out. The process was very quick. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely visit again.

“Great Value in Vermont”

This was our firsts time in Vermont spending a night. The cost of the Hotel was very reasonable while everything was OK. I just wish we had a better selection for our continental breakfast. The way the kitchen was laid out, it sort of backed up easily. If you wanted something else, you had to cut in front of people that have not eaten yet. Other than that, it was great.

“Great for kids. Pleasant for all.”

We just stayed there the weekend before Halloween and were very pleased. Our two young children could have spent all of our time at the hotel, between the pool, game room, and playground. We also enjoyed the covered bridge and wooden porch swing next to the babbling brook and waterfall. The whirpool was appreciated. The indoor pool inside the atrium gave us a nice view of the snowfall while we swam. Very pleasant! The hotel restaurant seemed a bit pricey for a family of four, but the deluxe continental breakfast (which was free) helped make up for it. The line can be long for waffles though. The only other slight negatives we ran into was no towels at the pool in the morning. Another guest at the hotel found bath mats we could use. Some channels froze up on us on the TV in our room but we weren't in there watching much TV anyway so not a big deal. That happens to us at home sometimes too, so probably not a chronic problem.

“Nice Hotel, but amentities not up to par...”

Ice bucket was dirty upon arrival and with no plastic sleeve to keep ice from liner. No soda vending machines... Resturant service was good, but Turkey Dinner was not cooked properly: meat was pink; even upon 2nd service. More room is need for Breakfast serverings: not organized and spread out enough. Customers were all on top of each other fighting over, utensils, food, coffee etc.. Just too small of an area to serve the amount of people coming thru.

“one night stay”

Staff was not rude, but they did the bare minimum to be useful. Room was noisy and mattresses were not very comfortable.

“Good hotel in a beautiful place”

the hotel has a very good location right next to the Ben and Jerry's factory which is a good draw. There is a great pool as well and a nice play area for children. The view of the mountains is fantastic and the setting very peaceful and relaxing. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was standard fare for chain hotels but was in a nice restaurant setting.
