Dining
Notti Bianche - The “progressive American” fare served in this small, intimate place gets high marks from local critics, quite a feat in a city filled with excellent restaurants. Menu highlights include Pheasant with Morels, Veal Cheeks with Butternut Squash Puree, and, for dessert, Bread & Butter Pudding with a Warm Chocolate Milkshake. Beyond the partially open kitchen is the lounge, warmly tinted a peachy pink by the egg-shaped lamps suspended from the ceiling.

“Great place to stay!”
The staff was just the right amount of attentiveness and knowledge. I was only in for one night on business and they were able to easily give me directions for where to get dinner/b-fast, get me a cab and check me in and out quickly. It was comfortable and quiet and easily accessible.
“Pleasant journey”
Great location 7-11within walk distance.clean room, nice staff
“Quiet and comfortable hotel.”
Very quiet and comfortable hotel with large well-appointed rooms. Staff is very helpful and friendly. It is close to a Whole Foods which has a nice hot and cold buffet and many baked goods for a quick meal. Very well located for using the Metro.
“Adorable, quaint hotel”
This is an adorable hotel with a quaint feel. The staff provides very personal service. It is in the middle of DC so parking is limited but there is valet parking. The restaurant was delicious also.
“Excellent value for Washington DC”
The one bedroom suite was spacious and well furnished. The bathroom was acceptable and clean. It could have used more shelf space by the sink. The air conditioning seemed a little undersized even though it was not particularly humid. The bed was extremely comfortable. All staff were very attentive, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant, Notti Bianche, was superb. Menu choices were excellent. Prices were very reasonable for Washington DC. My grilled salmon was perfect. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value, particularly if you don't mind walking to see the national monumnets. Otherwise, be prepared for cab rides.
“Very nice stay!”
This hotel and it's staff far exceeded my expectations. I chose it because of its proximity to The Kennedy Center, but I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, almost European feel to the average hotel stay. The staff was more than courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the small Italian restaurant that joins the hotel. Very nice stay!
“Nice room, located conveniently”
Nicely located, clean and comfortable...............................................................
“Hotel Review”
For the cost of the hotel, everything was outstanding. The location can not be beat. Big rooms with a separate area for bathroom, microwave and kitchen! We brought a cooler with our own snacks and beverages to avoid eating out at expensive GeorgeTown Eateries, so this was a welcome addition. Very close to the waterfront, we rented a canoe for the day and it was splendid to be so close. Found street parking easily early on a saturday morning. All in all, a great experience! Would absolutely recommend!
“gwu inn an "in" place”
Nice big room, excellent, helpful staff at front desk, great quiet safe clean neighborhood.
“Great Hotel”
Staff was very helpful and was more than will to help at all times. Room was clean and very nice.
