“Great room in DC”

This will be my first choice for visits to DC in future. My suite was huge and classy, but very reasonably priced. For those who don't particularly wish to eat in a restaurant all the time, the hotel has an incredibly well stocked kitchen, and a comfortable sitting area. Seven minutes walk from the Metro, and 20 minutes walk from Whole Foods market. Also a gym on the top floor with a view of the tip of the Washington Monument.

Very modern and luxurious hotel and only a 5 minute walk to the city shopping and restaurants. Best hotel we stayed at in our 4 week trip around north east usa.

“Washington DC Tourist”

Bottom Line, Very Good Value, especially if you are a tourist. Lots of space with a full kitchen. A competent job of renovating an old building, even if some of the finish was a bit rough. Comfortable bed, nice shower, good HDTV, and good Air Cond. Some of the staff seemed to lack training, but they all had the right attitude with a desire to provide good service. Within a reasonable walk to a Metro station. One weekness is the neighborhood is a bit sketchy and there is a lot of construction in the area. I imagine that this will change significantly in the next couple of years, as I have seen similar upgrades in other areas of the city.

The condo and the service at the Eldon was just super. The condo was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was very modern and simply lovely. Itwill be my place to stay in DC.

“Excellant family vacation spot”

I spent six nights here with my 11 year old son and nephew. We were in DC to see ALL of the museums and national sites. This hotel was PERFECT. The room was lovely, and the full kitchen was a real money saver for us. Some DC sites were within walking distance, other required a short cab ride (never more than $5). The $20/day secure, on site parking provided a big cost savings over other properties I investigated. And, BTW the shower in the bathroom was the BEST I have ever used. It sounds silly, but that was th most amazing shower head. But, seriously, it highlights their focus on customer service. I would absolutely return to this property.

Eldon Suites is perfectly located if you need to be near the Convention Centre - it is literally one block from there. The outside of the building looks like a small apartment building, but the suites were excellent. The suite was spacious, clean, and extremely affordable through Expedia. The staff were helpful. Although they served a continental breakfast, I didn't attend since I had already stocked up my kitchen. You can buy groceries from the nearby Safeway and stock up your fridge/freezer - really helped to cut down cost of dining. Also, it was a 35 minute walk to the National Mall - so, that was also quite convenient for me. The only "area for improvement" was the gym, which had a few equipment only - a treadmill, stationary bike, ab machine, and bowflex. I should also mention that there was only 1 elevator, which sometimes caused a bit of a wait. But, I stayed there for an entire week, and would definitely stay there again.

“Great value, Plenty of Space”

Great hotel with a very upscale feel despite the neighborhood which is obviously undergoing a rennaisance. Hard to find a room, let alone an upscale condo in DC at this price. As other reviewers have said, the rooms could use some more throw rugs to warm the room up and a TV in the bedroom would be nice, but overall I had a great experience and will return.

I loved my stay at the Eldon. The staff was extremely friendly. Chinatown is within walking distance, so there are plenty of places near by to grab a bite. The rooms are huge and the modern decor is a nice touch.
