Dining
Twigs - This restaurant serves American cuisine with an emphasis on seafood in a casually stylish dining room. The gold-and-white decor glows with light from large windows, a partial glass atrium, and many small ceiling lamps whose wavy shades suggest falling sheets of paper. Twigs is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Lobby bar – Even though it's open to the lobby, this lounge maintains a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Photographs of literary figures such as Gore Vidal and W.H. Auden gaze down on patrons enjoying a cocktail or light meal on low-slung, Art-Deco-style furniture.

“4 Star value”
Excellent location, great lobby, as promised rooms - actually more 4 star than what it is.
“Wonderful choice, excellent staff, perfect locatio”
Fantastic service, each staff member really showed they cared about the guest. Most outstanding Mr. Steve from check in and throughout the stay
“Nice hotel”
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Very comfortable stay. Would definely stay again.
“Great hotel!!!!”
The Capitol Hilton was great, we only stayed one night but will definately be returning! The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. We had the deluxe king. For the price, it was worth it and more!!!! Everything is in walking distance which is a plus. However, if you do not want to pay for the valet parking, there is indoor level parking at half the price a block away on 16th and I street.
“Comfortable and clean”
The room was comfortable and clean. Withing walking distance to the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again.
“Close to attractions - great value !”
Gorgeous refurbished hotel, everything was clean and new! Massive tv. No fridge but ice machine down the hall. Very friendly staff. Great location - 3 blocks from Whitehouse. Curtains dont close but black out lining behind the net curtains ! Can be a bit loud during rush hour and not very light rooms due to design of building - but who cares ! Its clean and new and all you need. Didnt use the gym but looked great.
“Great stay”
Perfect location 3 blocks (2 minutes due north of the White House). Problem with check-in room wasn't ready, but we got free soft drinks and an upgrade as a result, so no complaints there. If you can upgrade to executive level, access to the executive lounge gets free breakfast and soft drinks as well as snacks and cookies on an evening (It does get very busy at breakfast). Hotel staff were very helpful, booked tables for evening meals at several restaurants, always there to answer queries. Hotel itself was very quiet and clean. Withing walking distance of all of the museums and the metro stops 2 blocks away to get further afield.
“Nice Hotel”
Stayed at the Capitol Hilton over the weekend, the room was clean. The staff was friendly. It was two blocks North of the White House. I felt the restaurant, Twigs, was rather expensive.
“Capital Hilton DC”
First trip to DC and was quite satisfied w/ our hotel choice. The room was large and comfortable with a nice downtown view. The extras are expensive here (parking, internet, etc), but if you are in a position to splurge, the CONVENIENCE of this hotel's location is worth it. We came in from the east and it was a straight shot in on RT 50 with no traffic headaches. I was very happy to be so close to the Metro and on the same line as all the attractions I was in town for. Buses and taxis are also at your fingertips. Lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. It's expensive to stay downtown but, again, the convenience of it saved us a lot of time on our short weekend trip and made it stress-free and pleasant.
“great hotel”
everything was great!
