“Great Value”
We found the State Plaza to be clean, well-located and very comfortable. There were two adults and two children in the room, so we appreciated the amount of space we had. It was a bit "1950ish," but color and design of the bathroom tile is of little importance. The room was clean, the mattresses firm, the staff courteous and helpful. We'd definitely stay there again.
“A Monumental City !”
Fab location 5 minutes walk from the Mall, 10 minutes walk fromt he White House. Beds and room were extremely comfortable. It's a self contained apartment with even a kitchen, fridge, plates and cutlery - ideal for making ones own tea and toast for brekky and then a sandwich for lunch :) There's a store next door and a Starbucks 1 block away! Excellent location and facilities for the price in the Christmas Sale.
“great location”
Great location.easy chek out.
“really nice hotel!”
It's so good staying there. Looks like 5-star hotel!!
“Really like it”
With apartment style, this hotel provides really good services (kitchen with a fridge, stove, and microwave). Best for a long stay.
“Nice Hotel”
My family spent 4 nights at this hotel and we cooked there almost every day. This hotel is less expensive for Washington, DC. We could not park a car because the space was full, public parking is in the next building ($15 per day). A grocery store is located in next block. It took about 40 minutes to reach National Museum of Natural History on foot.
“Wonderful Stay”
My stay at The State Plaza Hotel was Great!
“Great place!”
The room was large and very comfortable. The location was perfect. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
“Beautiful and Comfortable Hotel”
This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed. Comfortable and affordable, good view. My room had a stove, fridge nothing beats that.
“Close to all things D.C.”
Very pleased with the hotel and have recommended it to a friend going there next month. Older hotel, but very nicely modernized, clean, comfortable, quiet neighborhood. Caters more to business and university folks, so not a typical lobby with lots of vacation brochures. Very good onsite restaurant, though we were put off by the "blandness" of the staff at breakfast -- dinner is another thing altogether! Very good evening service, plus good food. There's a small grocery store next door for emergency items, but they are expensive. Enjoyed being able to walk to the Nationa Mall, White House and really everywhere! Never even used the Metro, although it's only 3 blocks from the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your D.C stay.
