Pros: FREE coffee and assortment of newspapers... in am!
Location: Uberx car was cheap, fast and easy getting back from museums...
terrific staff, wonderful location. Expedia 'cheap roiom w Internet was a great bargain- but... 1) Online porice 2 weeks before was $130/night MORE - we cancelled and re-booked. 2) beware (I was warned) valet parking w tax $54/day, plus tip. 3) on-line booking can get free internet, else $17/day w tax! 4) "cheap rooms' look onto interior courtyard. great room- no view.

A Real Gem!

Posted 22-Mar-2015
Pros: Quiet, luxurious, convenient to the federal courts building and unsurpassed excellent service!
Cons: Nothing! Keep on doing what you are doing!
Location: White House, Dept of Treasury, Courts Buildings, Layfayette Square, Smithsonian museums, etc .
From the moment I checked into the Sofitel for business, the attention to detail and commitment to flawless service was apparent--the room was luxurious, comfortable and quiet. The level of service though is what distinguishes this hotel from others I have stayed at in DC in the past---unsurpassed excellent service. I highly recommend and will stay there again and again when I have business in DC. A real gem!

Paid for full service, got "serve yourself".

Pros: The room was very large and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. I couldn't help but notice in such a large room, the beds could have been Queens.
Cons: SERVICE! TRAINING! Doorman should be right at your door. They should open the hotel door. They should welcome you and say goodbye. Training needed
Location: Walking distance to White House
Drove around the block 3 times before we noticed the entrance. Not catching to the eye. Door service was horrible. Bellman/Doorman just stood there and looked at us in our car. For our entire stay, coming and going with our own vehicle, not one time did a doorman actually come to us, we always got out of our vehicle and signalled for them to come help. Once inside the building, there was no one to greet us. Even the concierge didn't acknowledge us, even though they weren't helping anyone. Waited at the front desk for 15 minutes in line to check in, even though many staff members walked past the one agent checking people in and noticed we were still standing there, including the manager. There was a roll of toilet paper rolled out under our sink on the floor and the toilet was left unclean. Beds were amazingly comfortable and I was overall very impressed with the accommodations. Splurged to get a downtown hotel for two guests who were "tourists" and disappointed to have our windows butting up against another building. I understand that we booked through a 3rd party site and this is why that is done, but nonetheless, disappointing.

Pros: 部屋が広く清潔で快適。ベッドも良かった。
Cons: 日本語放送が入っていない。
Location: ホワイトハウス、モール、スミソニアン博物館郡
スタッフの対応が非常によく気持ちよく滞在できた。但し、ロビーが狭く混雑した際には不便そうな印象を持った。

Friendly hotel in good location

Posted 18-Mar-2015
Pros: This hotel was very stylish and modern and you could walk to almost everything. The concierge was very helpful and they really knew the area.
Cons: The workout room was smallish and not very well equipped. It needed more machines and free weights.
We stayed in a double room with our kids. The room was large enough for us all. The bathroom was really nice, with a separate shower and tub. We walked to the White House, the monuments and many of the museums. The concierge helped us with restaurant reservations and were able to walk there too. The bar was nice for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night.

Absolutely wonderful!

Pros: The staff and the environment
Cons: Nothing, just keep doing what you are doing!
Location: Very close to the White House; to the train station, to the Library of Congress and the Museums
My time at Sofitel Hotel was absolutely amazing and wonderful. The staff were great, welcoming, courteous, and professional, the facility was great, the room was clean and inviting, and the pillows were just the best. The location also was the greatest; very close to where I need to go and far enough for safety.

Great place right by the White House center of the mall. Only reason lower on service is house cleaning went three days without cleaning our room even though we asked it was one maid though. The rest of the staff was spectacular!
