“Very impressed”
Great staff; nice fitness center; very helpful concierge
“great location”
This hotel is very convenient to Union Station, major sight seeing spots and the metro. Staff made the stay completely hassle-free and early check-in was helpful. Finding a handy spot to eat other than Union Station was difficult, however.
“Good value and location”
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt on 4/28/06. As most of the positive reviews here have stated (which I read before booking our stay), our experience was very good overall for the price and especially, the location. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room/hotel was quite good. I was aware of the potential noise from the street due to the proximity of the hotel to a fire station, but we fortunately had a quiet nite. For those simply sightseeing within the general area, I recommend taking advantage of the 24 hr parking at the hotel and walk or take the public transportation to get around.
“Excellent quality, value and service!”
I made my reservation the day before arrival. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire hotel scheme; service was outstanding and the room accomodations were superb. I had an issue with my room key and within 3 minutes a member of the hotel staff was up to my 9th floor room to check the problem and he proceeded to have a new key made and hand delivered it within 5 minutes. I did not dine at their restaurant and cannot comment on such. I highly recommend this fabulous hotel!
“Nice Hotel”
Hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was very polite. The hotel was a short walk (7-8 minutes) from Union Station. The area around the hotel is mostly office buildings and other hotels. In hindsight, it would have been nicer to stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington because it's closer to more restaurants (and closer to the Mall).
“Nice hotel, Friendly service, Close to DC sights”
Very nice hotel, Close to all DC sights. Shuttle service from airport. A bit on the noisey side being across from a fire station. Sight seeing trolley picks up at this hotal. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to extend our checkout time three hours at no charge.
“Would definitely stay here again.”
This hotel is in a great location, close to everything. Staff is courteous and friendly. The rooms are well kept. I plan to make this my hotel of choice when in Washington, DC
“Great for families”
This will be the only hotel we use in Washington D.C. They were clean, helpful and the hotel location is perfect for sight seeing.
“extremely satisfied with the hotel and their staff”
We had a big family reunion in DC. The staff was very understanding and allowed us to congregate in the lobby and enjoy our food brought from home!!!!
“DC's Best Value”
I stayed at a compititions hotel a month earlier and even though it was ok I prefer not to go back. I've been at the Hyatt's conference rooms a few times with a group I belong to and now I know the rooms are just as good as the rest of the hotel. Modern, clean, kept up and worth every penny.
