Good hotel near Washington D.C.

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Close to the Metro and a variety of dining options.
Cons: The blackout drapes are ready for replacement.
Location: The Crystal City shops and the Pentagon City Mall are within walking distance. This is a very safe place to walk after dark.
This hotel is located just an easy walk from the Metro. No need in renting a car if you are just touring the D.C. area. The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful. There are many dining options within walking distance. The hotel served a very good hot breakfast with a wide variety of food.

Great hotel, excellent amenities

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Location: Small mall nearby, right by the metro station, but everything closes early about 6pm even on weekends.
A couple of blocks away from the metro. Great hotel outside of DC, easily accessible by train. Very clean hotel and nice selection for breakfast, also all day coffee/tea available, which was a nice perk. They have a indoor pool, which we didn't use because of all the kids. Also a nice fitness center. The only negative was the fact that we thought we requested two double bed rooms and got two king size bed rooms and they were not very accommodating saying that the hotel was completely booked. When I asked for a rollaway they said it wouldn't fit, which it obviously could when we went to the rooms. So we asked for extra blankets, which we had to call a couple of times for. Ended up with three people in a king bed, which was fine, but they could have been more accommodating. But overall, a pleasant stay.

Close to DC airport

It's not, in a terrible area, didn't feel safe to walk to a restaurant. They also made us and about 10 others wait 45 minutes on the side of the road, everyone was complaining, then said the driver was busy, driver told us he never got the message when we were with him. The hallways were dirty with trash all over them, well the 7th floor anyway, just a grubby place with poor staff. The guy on the front desk was helpful in the end. He should be commended for having to work with the others

Easy walk to and from the metro. Clean and comfortable room. Hotel staff let me park the car three hours before check-in and a couple hours after check-out. I would stay here again.

good time in dc

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: It was a typical Hampton, clean with amenities that were useful.
Location: The Metro is 2 blocks away with access to all the tourist attractions.
This hotel was clean and with enough space for the four of us. It is close to the Metro yellow and blue lines. Good neighborhood to walk in. Restaurants were a close walk. Shuttle to airport very efficient.

Pros: Good buffet breakfast
Cons: Better communication about there amenities and updates
Location: Good location near metro. Near 23rd st which has lots of good restaurants
Parking was more expensive than advertised. Roll away bed was requested, but when we arrived, were told they don't allow them.
